At least 5 Palestinians, including a 16-year old child, were killed in an Israeli raid on the city of Tulkarem. This marks one of the most violent raids in the West Bank, spanning several days and still ongoing. Israeli settler violence is also seeing an all-time high, aided and abetted by IOF forces that have not only been shooting Palestinians and beating them to death, but also blocking ambulances attempting to rescue them.

Jamil Info Compilation part 1: Family
Whereas Jamil is Kalim’s personal servant (attendant, etc.) Jamil’s parents are house servants (menial servants, etc.) for Kalim’s family. (NA changes its wording, sometimes saying “helpers” or “employees”, but the original dialogue is consistent.)
In the NA adaptation Jamil refuses to stand up against Kalim because he fears a lecture from his parents and out of respect for his family’s history.
In his original dialogue, however, he explains that Kalim’s father is essentially holding his family hostage to force his obedience: “If I did something like that and Kalim’s father found out, the Viper family would suffer for it.”
(NA does get the line "There would be consequences for my entire family if he were exposed to any danger.")
When Jamil overblots he has a line saying that he no longer cares about himself or his family, and he is going to be free—the safety of his family and himself being the price of his freedom from servitude to Kalim.
Jamil says that his parents have immersed him in the world of special social occasions since he was a child, and we get more detailed information in his third birthday vignette: Jamil says his parents are extremely adept at entertaining guests, and he wishes to emulate them.
He says his parents are talented at cheering up awkward or anxious people, partially from their in-depth knowledge of the cultures of other countries.
His parents speak to foreign visitors to the Asim estate about their homes, and visitors thus open up to them. Jamil says he didn’t appreciate this talent his parents have when he was child, but now he understands how intelligent they are, their integrity and how hard they work to be able to welcome visitors effectively.
Jamil will occasionally reference his younger sister, Najma. While Jamil and his parents are confirmed servants of the Asim house, there is no mention of whether or not they also employ Najma. (But in a line that was removed from NA, he says, "That is the fate of those born a Viper," so it is very likely.)
Jamil gives her one of his tickets to the VDC, saying that it makes him nervous to know that family will be watching his performance.
Jamil says that Najma's interest in coffee divination is why he is able to tell basic fortunes, and he cannot relax when cooking at home because she starts complaining if he gets sloppy.
We meet Najma during the Firelit Sky event when Jamil immediately tries to send her away but Cater, Trey and Malleus pressure him into allowing her to join them. (Cater immediately admits that he would “die of embarrassment” if his sisters saw him with his friends. When Trey calls him out for inviting her along anyway Cater responds, “It’s not every day we get to see Jamil all flustered.”)
Najma says Jamil never talks about having friends when he visits home, and Jamil insists that he considers no one in the group as a friend.
We see Jamil encouraging Najma to use wet wipes to wash her hands before she eats, which Cater calls “a little overbearing.”
Najma tells a story about Jamil hiding inside a vase to sneak away from a lecture from their mother and teases him about having pictures of the incident.
Najma says that “Jamil was the best in the whole neighborhood” at an animal-toy stacking game (presumably inspired from the animated Aladdin movie).
Jamil says that Najma would sulk when she lost and run away, forcing him to pick up the abandoned pieces of her game while being lectured by their parents. We learn in Book 6 that Jamil and Najma have multiple video game consoles at home.
Najma says that it’s easy to lean on him, and thanks him. She also says that her grades are “stellar” and she does well in sports, too.
Najma says she will cook curry for Jamil for after the festival, and she may cook for him fairly often: Jamil has a voice line about how she would bake cookies for him on his birthday.
