I don't think that person understands that there are stories of lavender marriages where the gay man and lesbian are profoundly, deeply in love with each other but they just aren't sexually attracted to each other!
I feel bad for people that think someone can only talk about another person the way Sadie does about jake if they are in a romantic/sexual relationship! It's just not true!! I feel bad and truly hope you get to experience a deep, profound (platonic) love for another person that you would do anything for because love is not just a romantic/sexual thing!
Like also do you not think that Sadie's character being reduced to her relationship with jake is sad? Like it's another example of a woman being defined by the men in her life (and ik they talk about her not being defined by men but that's really not true)
“If your pa ain’t talkin’ much, he’s just worn out.”
No one can tell me Arthur doesn’t want John & Jack to have a good relationship. Arthur wants John to be what he couldn’t be, and that’s why he gets so upset when John acts like him.
(This line is one, very small example. But I’m losing my mind about it anyway)
no words for how much I adore these two characters and the ways their journeys parallel one another's... take this as part character study (what if they helped each other heal!) and part ship content (they were made for each other...) anyways. the shadowzel illness never stops
