While it was commonplace for him, he supposed it would be odd to find a stranger fiddling in a tree.
He quickly looked the man over before answering, he was tall, well-kept and had a classy air to him.  Once upon a time, he probably would have felt uncomfortable in his presence--but he had long reached a point where he no longer compared himself to others by way of dress.
“My family and I are on vacation.  I was having trouble sleeping, so I decided to get some fresh air and enjoy nature a bit.”
Dipping his hand into his overcoat pocket, he shuffled around a bit before he pulled out a candy bar.
“I suppose I could ask the same to you. It’s a bit late to be out, no?”  He finished unwrapping it and held it over to him, offering a slice.  “Would you like to share while we chat?”

Sitting in a tree, Salvatore played a gentle, relaxing tune on his violin under the moonlight.  It wasn’t until he finished his tune that he looked down, noticing someone watching him.
His face flushed a tinge of pink when it had dawned on him that he was being watched.  Although he taught children the basics of music, he never got over his stage fright with playing in front of others.
Jumping down from the tree, he took a slight bow. “I didn’t know I had an audience,” he gently chided, though there was a playful twinkle in his blue eyes.

It wasn’t as if he had intended to stay and listen. Simply, he had been in the right place, at the right time when they had been putting on a solo performance. The music had drawn him in from a short distance away from their meeting, leading him to the source the further he wandered into the forest. “My apologies,” he offered, bowing his head in return. “I had been passing through with my apprentice before I sent her ahead of me. She must have heard you as well, but she chose to keep walking than stay behind.” No doubt he knew Gray would have enjoyed listening to such a performance, but lingering at night in a forest could be dangerous when finding who or what had been playing.
“You’re talented, I will admit. Someone I know is also gifted in playing the violin,” was said as he stood upright, gently pushing his hair over a shoulder. “Part of me had grown worried that he had followed me here. I wouldn’t have put it past him to be so foolish to do so. But yours and his playing are not exactly comparable. However, I have to ask… Why are you here?”
