I end the day feeling that I didn't accomplish anything.⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ In Portuguese, I would use the word "marasmo" to express these stagnation feelings.⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ♡⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ I chose this photo to publish today because it reminds me of a time and place when I felt strong. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ My friends and I had just arrived at the Isle of Skye (Scotland), and we went directly to meet the Old Man of the Storr. We started walking at about 8h30pm. The trek was almost empty. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ On our way back to the car, I left them following the same path we had come from and went on a different one.⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ This photo was taken at that moment when I was alone in the middle of Scotland.⁠⁠ I think that's why I feel stronger when I look at it. Practical information about Cinque Terre - save this for later 😉⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ 🌅 HOW MANY DAYS DO I NEED?⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ I would say 3 days are enough to get to know Cinque Terre - Monterosso Al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore.⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ If you have more time, perfect! Spend all you can and just relax. You deserve it!⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ If you have less time, well, it's also doable. I was there just for 1 day, and I got to see all five and even swam in two of them, but I had to rush. By the end of the day, I felt Cinque Terre deserve more.⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ 🌅 WHERE TO STAY?⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ This really depends on your budget. You can stay in one of the villages (more expensive) or in La Spezia (the nearest city and my suggestion). I slept a bit outside La Spezia (budget restraints), but I wasted a lot of time.⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ 🌅 HOW'S THE BEST WAY TO GET TO CINQUE TERRE?⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ Get train tickets in La Spezia, and go from there to visit all Cinque Terre. On a late December afternoon, I finally visited Monserrate Palace in my home country, Portugal.
