A classic in a different context. Still tastes great - lemony and spritzy, with a balanced bitterness behind it

Confluence, an Aslan x Wander collab blend (both hailing from Bellingham, WA)
Sour, lovely, astringent finish. Sweet.
Pretty intense, definitely a sipper, but tasty! Reminds me of a Russian River beer - Supplication maybe?

Edge of Oblivion - a sour ale with marrionberry from Urban Farm in Seattle
Sour. Flat. Nice fruit, but a vague plastic-y homebrew aftertaste.
Bottle label is A+ though, particularly if you're a fan of Astroneer

Narrator, a Black Rye IPA from Novel Brewing in Oakland
Very dark, more burnt toast than toasty malt. Citrus hops don't really play very nicely with astringent blackness.

Wheels Up IPA, from Stanley Park Brewing in Vancouver
Leaning more towards a British flavor profile. Malty but still a bit thin. Lemon-y, grass-y hops, not that bitter.

Fat tug IPA, from Driftwood Brewery, Victoria, BC
Thin, and a little astringent. Nice hop flavor, and some heavy dark malt hiding behind it. Terry's chocolate orange. Would have liked more sweetness and mouth feel to balance the hop bombs.

Batch 15 IPA at Aslan Brewing, Bellingham WA A Northeastern IPA from a Pacific Northwest brewery. Smooth at first, some brief pineapple, followed shortly after by a pretty unbalanced hop bitterness at the end that keeps going. 7/10
