Hi everyone and welcome to my little writing corner of the world. This book has been in the works for about 6 years. I have decided this blog can serve as the launchpad for this book.
This story was first inspired by two characters on a television show, but it soon became more than that and the characters evolved so much that they took on their own life.
I had writer’s block for about 4 years and could not seem to finish it, but finally found some inspiration and for the last 4 months have been hard at work on the final editing and publishing process.
This is my third book and the Ebook version is now available as well as the paperback and I could not be more thrilled that it is now out there for the whole world to read.
The link is above for the full description, but put simply it is a retell of the Hades and Persephone myth in today’s time. I have added creative liberty to my version of the Underworld and decided long ago that there were no limits to what I could make of it.
This book will have two sequels, the next of which is called Persephone’s Curse coming in December of this year. It’s already being written and the first chapter is included with this book.

Midnight Moon
I woke up mid summer night's dream
But it's winter
Maybe snow is falling just above the clouds
But the glow down here is mesmerizing
Moonlight creeps in and I see the silver shimmer
I feel your breath hover on my neck
And your fingers skate down my spine
And a thousand shivers erupt that have nothing to do with the cold
Because it's warm in here
We've created a sun between us
Burning bright where we're suspended in time
Upended in feeling
And it's intensely light
Where once there was only dark
We're lying in the after
Starlight sparkles in our joined fingers
Spent and slightly shaking
I can hear the thoughts breaking through your mind
Into mine
We're wrapped in this cocoon
In a perfect embrace
And fall asleep with whispered promises
Blanketing us in ecstasy
I curve my body around yours
And suddenly it's like the moon is beside us tonight
Or maybe we are the moon
In our very own night sky
It's long past midnight
And nearly dawn
We're sated and sleepy
Turning back the covers
We bury ourselves in nirvana

But just close your eyes and sleep

Prick of a needle
Burning on a wire
Suspended in the ether
Thrilling zing and fire
Chills up my spine
Chasing that rush
Inked in like violets
Breathed in like Kush
You give me sparkling white wine
