is everything political?
some of us woke up today struggling to untangle the blankets from our legs, some woke up freezing because of the cold breeze from the ac that got colder overnight, some woke up with no bed at all, and some couldn’t wake up. and at the end of the day, some will be going to bed like they always do, some will be going to bed smiling, some will be going to sleep without a bed, and some won’t probably be sleeping simply because they can’t afford to do that.

oh, and speaking of sleeping, one thing that keeps me up all night is one direction (no pun intended!), my kpop and anime boys, and all my unfinished netflix shows. i can’t stand their absence, that’s why i rewatch their cheesy videos on my phone and laugh as if it’s my first time watching them just to fill the void in my heart. i know it’s not that deep, but these are the things that built me.
Tumblr media
but what does this have to do with the title of this blog? nothing! this has nothing to do with politics. not everything is political, right?
----AAAND CUT!
Tumblr media
yep. that was me doing what pinocchio does best :D lying !!
everything was, is, and will always be political.
sure, roll your eyes all you want, but let me start off by saying that i’m not forcing anyone to have the same views as me btw!!! but at least open your minds before you read what i’m about to say.
the first things that come to mind when the word “political” shows up would be politicians, activists, movements, and the government. yes, this word has a correlation with all these stuff, but it’s more than that. the moment we’re born makes our existence already political. why? you see, we’re all born in a state, which makes us automatically part of a (google said this >) nation or territory considered as an organized political community under one government. everything provided to this nation is either because of the people tasked to govern it or the citizens living in it. our freedom to do whatever we want like listening to music or watching shows, the way some of us are provided with shelter and some are not, the roads we walk on everyday are all because of the governance and laws that have been made for the state we live in. if you’re still not getting it, what’s not clicking?
if it’s not clicking, then it must be because you’re not being oppressed <3 and that you’re waaaay too privileged to see what the other people in your nation are going through <3 if you don’t think everything is political and that not caring about political issues at all is fine, then ask yourself what everything is if not political.
