I don’t know to whether to feel excited or dread at the announcement. I just hope they fix what they fundamentally broke in the 2nd movie

Update
Hi, I originally wanted to update with lots to show for, but it keeps being pushed back. I am still here, kinda. I really want to see my works through even if most of the fandom has moved on. So I’ve set a deadline of Aug 2024 for myself. Pretty much marking 10 Years of being here. Seems pretty far away, but with how fast I’m accomplishing anything it may not be long. Basically, main priority is my fics currently in progress, then the fics that have been in development but not yet published. If there’s enough time, I may try to push for another game, but I can’t promise anything. At the very least, it will bring closure to myself as all these projects occupy my mind and it will be great to wrap them up. So yeah, hope to have more updates soon. Thanks.

Everything is clear now, sorry for the disruption.
Don’t download Twisted Hearts
Suspected breach with the cloud hosting account for the game files. I’m currently looking into this and verifying all files. Please do not download (I don’t know who might still be, but better be safe) in the meantime.

Elsanna in modern AU?
Sure, why not! 😜
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, I’ve always imagined Anna to be the sporty type(?) while Elsa more like the elegant/rich girl XD
Also I tried a little different style...Hope you like it,
Vago〜♪

Good news, my test results came back negative!
Also, it’s the 2nd day of lockdown. It feels really weird, but it’s nice to have a time to myself (while still being paid!).
Thanks so much to those that sent in their support, it was lovely to know that even though I am in lockdown by myself, I’m not alone. I’m not good at expressing this through words, but know that it means a lot.

Twisted Hearts - A Guide
Part 1 - The Basics
Get the Game here if you haven’t already
Updated 1.1 post with changelog, but same download link
Right I’ll be honest I’m not 100% sure how to do this, so I’ll just go about covering everything I can think of and break them into different parts.
1) Windowed Mode
Playing in comfort is important, and that’s why how you view the game is vital for a good experience. I strongly recommend playing in fullscreen, which you can toggle with F5, however a windowed experience is much more flexible but not as easy.
To modify your windowed experience you must first find this file in the root folder:
Tumblr media
Game.ini
It should be right alongside the Game.exe used to launch the game. To work this file, you must right-click and open with notepad (or any similar program).
Tumblr media
Once the Game.ini is open, you will see these lines. The line we want to focus on is the very last one: WindowedRatio. Modifying the number value will change the ratio of your windowed game, remember to save before closing the file.
A value of 1 is default. Value of 2 is recommended.
 2) Key Bindings
How you control the game is important for a good experience as well. To modify your controls, simply press F1 while in game to bring up this window:
Tumblr media
This will allow you to modify general options, as well as control layout in the Gamepad or Keyboard tab. Unfortunately, it is quite limited and not as customizable as your average game.
3) Player management
The Menu is an important tool in managing your playthrough. Simply pull it up at any time with the Esc key:
Tumblr media
Don’t mind the weird bug where Anna frowns in her hero portait
Here in the menu you can access many things to manage your playthrough. You can also see your current Gold balance at the bottom left. Starting at the top with items, this sub-menu lets you manage all the items you are carrying. Some of which may be used, consumed or equipped. Simply put your selection on any item to read its description.
Next is skills. This sub-menu lets you see all the skills that a particular character has learned. To do so, select skills, then select the character you wish to focus on. This will bring up a window like so:
Tumblr media
Skills are separated into two categories, special and magic. Special skills require TP, which can be earned in battle (some classes like Paladin accumulate TP and carry it on to the next battle). Magic skills require mana, and are available as long as the character has sufficient mana. More on this in the next guide.
Hover your selection on any skill to read its description to understand it more. Skills that are greyed out are only available in combat, while those such as ‘Heal’ as seen above are available for use outside of combat. This means that you use these abilities whenever. For example, I can use Anna’s heal ability on another member of the party even though I am not in combat. This is useful if certain ailments or injuries are causing problems even after the fight has been won.
The next sub-menu is equipment, this allows you to see and manage each characters active gear:
Tumblr media
Hovering over any item lets you see its description as well as its stat. Hovering over an item you have in your inventory (seen in the bottom), lets you compare it to your current equivalent item, with the stats. As you can see in the example above, the ‘Buckler’ in my inventory is very similar to the ‘Iron Shield’ I have currently equipped. Except its DEF stat is 3 points lower, as highlighted in red, and thus not a suitable replacement.
You can change each item individually, or let the game optimize for you with the optimize function. This chooses the best gear based on stats. To quickly remove all items, simply use the clear function.
Note that not all characters/classes can equip all types of items, or fill all slots. Some items themselves imposed restrictions on what other items you can have equipped at the same time. For example a large war hammer prevents you from equipping a shield simultaneously.
Quick stat rundown (stats are added on top of your base stats):
ATK: The attack power of the weapon. DEF: The defensive bonus of the weapon MAT: The magical attack power of the weapon. MDF: The magical defense bonus of the weapon. AGI: The agility bonus of the weapon. LUK: The luck bonus of the weapon.
Other stat bonuses can be hinted in the description. For example a Holy item will deal more damage to enemies who align themselves with Dark forces. This will be further explored in a future guide.
The next sub-menu is Status:
Tumblr media
To be honest it’s not a very useful menu. It helps that you can see everything about a character in one screen.
Onto the next sub-menu Quests:
Tumblr media
This sub-menu lets you see all quests you are currently tracking, with additional info such as quest objectives. Quests in green have been completed. This sub-menu can be quickly accessed with ‘Q’.
Next up is the Formation sub-menu:
Simply select it, select a character, and select another character to swap their positions. This feature allows you to modify your party’s formation. You can only have 4 characters active at any given time, while the other’s will remain inactive if any combat arises. You can check on your additional members by going down the list. Strongly recommend to keep Anna in your active party.
Lastly you have Save & Game End. Save is a very important feature that I recommend you use regularly, because losing progress is not fun especially with a high likelihood of game breaking bugs. You can have multiple saves. Game End lets you quit to the main menu or quit the game entirely.
Phew that’s a lot. We’ll cover more in the next guide.

I thought it best to do a stress test before releasing the new version, and the damn memory leak problem is back again. Push it too hard and the game outright flatlines and consumes your RAM in a matter of seconds. Fortunately I do have 16GB of it but it was just seconds away from completely freezing up my PC.

I’m having a serious headache trying to get my head around video formats and codecs. honestly it surprises how even though we advance so far, there’s a lot of basic systems that we’re still using that are so un-intuitive and incompatible with one another.
