I read about shadow dragons and got inspired. A lot of thoughts about the history of Afaleon’s life and how intricately it intertwined with Minthara's life. So here are the empires destroyers together. She is also here, right on the back:

I am sorry if someone already told you this or if im yappin feel free to ignore but I think you should know: Black dragons with purple breath weapon exist !!! They're shadow dragons !!! Your guy is therefore canon to forgotten realms. Lest we forget its also mentionned that dragons can have drastic color variation (fizban's draconic treasures) AND dragons are magic users so yeah. Sorry for yappin its been on my mind since I saw him <3 lots of love !

Anyway, in the case of Afaleon, I'm interpreting the Forgotten Realms canon as it suits me, because I brought this character into this world as an AU and am here to tell a story through him. I would say that I study the canon of this world as inspiration for his personality and story. But it's funny how my headcanons are still canon in the end :D

Sudden Lolth because I was impressed by the official art of her

I want to thank everyone a little during a break between postings. Likes and subscriptions to my art with Minthara and Afaleon really mean a lot to me. When I started drawing them in early September, I didn’t think at all that so many people would like what I was doing. It kind of looks strange - a drow paired with a dragonborn - with a half-beast in fact. I drew more for myself. It was a pleasant surprise for me that people actually remember this pairing and like it. When I was getting a lot of likes on my tweets with art of them on Twitter, I thought that maybe my art just got caught up in the furry side of this site. But then I made a blog for BG3 here and saw how I was received here, and I read all your tags for my art in reposts and realized that it seems that my success (?) is not an impostor.

So yes, I am very pleased to receive all this attention and your love. This is probably the first time I have become famous for something to some extent. This is important to me as an artist for many reasons. Behind every piece of art you see there is a person. And so it’s nice simply because I’m the person who happened to Be Seen.

Who is the blanket hog? - Minthara. "Why do you need a blanket? You're like a stove yourself." *Turns away triumphantly, wrapping herself in a blanket like a cocoon.* Who is the octopus that clings to their lover? - Afaleon. His strategic grab from behind. It's hard to just sleep and not hug. Also it's hard not to throw your legs over hers. However, if Minthara comes to bed later, then she becomes the bigger spoon (he’s just warm).

Who is the morning person? - Minthara. It has more to do with the fact that she is punctual than with the fact that she loves this time of day. And, well, someone needs to wake up the sleepyhead Afaleon with gentle (no) kicks in the side. Who has cold feet and who is the space heater? Minthara and her cold hands and feet, which Afaleon enjoys warming. One winter he bought her enchanted warming gloves, and her feet warmed up against his feet. He's a walking stove. Sleeping with him is as comfortable as in a kotatsu (maybe, I don't know, I've never slept in a kotatsu).
