I've realized that right now while I'm struggling with my muse, it's more important to write every day than it is to write a scene a day. I've definitely fallen into the trap of "well if I can't write a whole scene I just shouldn't write".
New goal is to write 500 words a day, or for two hours! It's more important to do the thing than it is to be perfect at it.

My favorite “Jon lets his hair grow out” headcanons:
- slicking it back with gel when it starts getting a little too long
- barrettes for the unruly side bits
- multiple grippy clips to keep the longer (but still too short for a ponytail) sections out of his face
- blowing strands of hair out of his face as he’s leaning over his desk
- absentmindedly twirling his hair around his fingers
- impromptu bun held in place with a pencil
