LOCATION OF HAUNTING: The Home of Ethyl and Marybeth Cho
SIGNS OF HAUNTING: items out of place or moving of their own volition / doors that continuously unlock themselves / the couple’s cat, Socks, hissing at empty spaces / strange condensation on the windows / a sink that drips constantly with murky water
KNOWN FACTS: the couple believes they are being haunted by Marybeth’s ex girlfriend, though there is no direct evidence to back up that claim / no other houses in the neighborhood have reported hauntings in the past six months

Would it be possible for a character to be a ghost or possessed by a demon?
I think so, depending on how it was handled! One of our starting characters was previously possessed by a demon, so it’s definitely not out of the question, and I’d be so interested to see what someone might do with a character who is a ghost—do they know they’re a ghost? are they different from the kinds of ghosts that Paranormal Inc goes around getting rid of? why have they chosen to go into ghost-busting? do ghosts have to participate in capitalism?! The possibilities are wild and endless!

SIGNS OF HAUNTING: audio interference, including a jukebox that will only play one song / freezing temperatures near the freezer / warm temperatures within the freezer / blood coming out of the coffee pot unexpectedly / customers reporting phantom presences and phantom touches
KNOWN FACTS: identity of ghost(s) unknown, potentially multiple presences due to the expansive physical range of phenomena / strange aura may lead to minor visual or auditory hallucinations / spirit box likely to be useful due to radio disturbances

SIGNS OF HAUNTING: barn doors found open overnight / several very frightened cows / sub-freezing temperatures in select spots / inexplicably spilled milk
KNOWN FACTS: the ghost has responded twice to the name “Georgie” / McDouglass attempted to contain the ghost inside the barn using salt but was unsuccessful / the ghost is believed to be moving in and out of the barn with the cows

This is such a cool group idea! I was wondering if characters also need to be 25+, or if it would be possible to have a slightly younger character?
Younger characters are absolutely fine! Characters must be 18 or older, and their faceclaim should be suited to whatever age you pick, but other than that, they can be whatever age you’d like—

Most of the information you’ll need to learn about the group and apply should be up and running on the page here, but if you have any questions, my askbox is always open, and I’d be happy to answer any questions that may come up. We’re open for applications now, and — while applications will be on a rolling basis once the group opens — our first formal acceptances will take place this coming week, on 2/25.
We’d love to see a few characters come in before then, as the group will officially open next Saturday (2/27)!

Taking inspiration from media like Buzzfeed Unsolved, InSpectres, Ghostbusters, and many more, Paranormal Inc follows the daily lives of the employees of the Springville, Ohio branch of a nation-wide ghost hunting company. In between hunting ghosts, exorcising demons, and dealing with local cryptids, the employees of Paranormal Inc are just like any other overworked, underpaid employees just trying to make it through the day.
