I've been reading the godawful pokemon newspaper comics. They're bad, but some panels are kinda funny-bad.

this isn't supposed to read like Gary's hitting on him, but he is. He is.

Spot on. The “uwu” stereotype is just weird and palletshipping as a whole is just mischaracterized in the worst ways and it needs to stop.

We as a society need to stop potraying ash as the 'uwu cute one' in ships. Ash could probably bench press half his rivals. And beat most of them in a physical fight. Man is a unit.

Yes, I do HC Ash to be strong because he would’ve been all over the world at the time he “retires” (Gary’s been to several regions as well but not as many as Ash)

They’re both beefy dudes, but Ash is slightly stronger because he’s journeyed all over from the ages of 10-19. Gary would have some strength from his experiences of being a field researcher (he’s had to climb a bunch a trees come on)

I really really don’t like it when people HC Ash as dumb. Like yeah he wasn’t the brightest 10 year old, but who’s to say he matures over time. Yeah, Gary’s the one with a whole ass master’s degree while the only education Ash got was his time at the Pokemon school in Alola and the Uva Academy, but they are both smart in their own ways.

As for the cross dressing, I remember reading a fanfic about Gary finding out about a time that Ash cross dressed and he admitted to saying dresses feel comfortable. Im not saying Ash is a “uwu” guy, but he’s able to understand that it’s okay to be a dude that thinks wearing dresses is fine.

Absolute shame Gary never showed up in Kalos. I think he should have studied there like Blue in the games solely cause I think him butchering "Bonjour" would be funny.

It’s finally palletshipping day RAHHH 🦅🦅

here’s day 7 of palletshipping week- AU

I’ve been watching Infinity Train Book 4 and Ryan and Min-Gi remind me so much of Ash and Gary so I obviously had to make an infinity train AU with them!

Basically, the AU starts the same way the canon anime does, the boys go on their separate pokemon journey. When Gary decides to go on the research path following the silver conference, Ash gets kinda distraught by this decision. Ash brushes it off and several years go by where the boys find each other again. Ash thinks it’s the perfect opportunity for them to travel the far away regions. Unfortunately, Gary declines his offer as he’s about to start college. In a fit of frustration, Ash snatches the keys to Oak’s lab from Gary and makes him go after them only for them to get sucked into this train that came out of nowhere.

They wake up with these jumpsuits and glowing green numbers on their hand that match and learn that they have to get the numbers down to zero to get off the train.

I definitely recommend Infinity Train. Unfortunately there is no “proper” way to watch it anymore as it got taken down on Max and other streaming services last year so y’all are going have to watch it through wcocartoon or something

dig those diglett is amazing actually gary shows up to fix something, finds out it cannot be solved, and then he simply fucks off. pokemon would be 12 episodes long if gary were the protagonist I swear
