although joyce’s drawing skills weren’t good, the other’s kind words made her feel at ease. the image looked really clear in her head, but again, bringing her ideas to paper was like a war. ‘’listen, I’ve been looking for  for drawing lessons near here, but I wanted to try it by myself at least once , you know!?’’ as much as she didn’t want to admit she needed those lessons, deep down in her she knew it. ‘’if it seems so easy to you, why don’t you make it instead?’’ 

‘’yes. totally. absolutely. completely. no doubt. the only ‘’problem’’ would be cleaning the kirchen afterwards, but I can do it!’’ honestly, baking 100 cupcakes wasn’t the best idea joyce could have, but she wanted to do it anyway. she knew taeyeon was patient, that’s why she asked the older to help her. ‘’so... will you do it?’’

when people are young, they are introduced to a world of fantasy through fairy tales. vampires, werewolves, ghost, witches, etc. some of them become scared of these things, but for joyce, they weren’t scary. she was afraid of real things, of something that could hurt her. specifically, spiders. so  watching ‘’arachnophobia’’ , like aesook suggested, wasn’t a good idea for her. ‘’if you want to watch horror movies, we can watch any other, but no spiders.’’ she just simple said, thinking for a little bit some other film options. ‘’... clowns. I’m not scared of clowns. what about watching ‘’it’’ instead?’’

"i don't mean to be a creep but did i just overhear you speaking german?" { welcome to fem!

her native language was one of the things joyce missed the most about home. she had nobody to talk german with, and sometimes, language barrier was a problem. one of the few times she could speak german in the week, was when she called her family. it was, in fact, her favorite time, the time she looked forward the most.

when she heard the female voice, ( as soon as she hang up the phone) she felt a little nervous. in all the time she had spent in korea, it was the first time someone asked her about not speaking korean. she turned towards where the kind voice was, and spoke. ‘’oh? uh… yeah. gotta keep my brother updated about life here, you know? … do you speak some?‘’  joyce didn’t think the other was a creep, but she was interested on why did she ask her about her language. a little bit of excitement could be heard in her voice, perhaps, she found someone she could communicate with without having to worry about misunderstandings.

"just admit i'm right." // welcome to fem!

‘’I would, but you’re not’’ although being wrong was something she hated, she would actually admit when she was. but on this occation, she was sure that it was she the one that was right. ‘’ Leonardo DiCaprio was the one in inception, not the matrix.’’ joyce would have watched inception more than just a couple of times, much more enough to know who the starring actor was. ‘’ the one in the matrix is Keanu Reeves.’’

‘’bruise? piano - bruising. no connection?’’ she wasn’t sure if minhee had bad experiences about piano in the past. she wasn’t sure if she tried to learn how to play it but failed. anyways, joyce wanted to teach her, but after the bassist made such an excuse, she decided to just let it go. of course, her own choice didn’t make her happy, but she didn’t want to bother the slightly taller girl. ‘’what about the guitar? sounds better? I can teach you that.’’

"you have something on your butt--" // Welcome to Feem!!

it has been a while since she went to the bathroom. if she had toilet paper somewhere in her butt, it was the end of her. she has already been in several places throughout the day, people would have told her,right? ‘’me? it can’t be. what is it?’’ she was too abashed to turn half of her body around can look at her butt. though, she had to, so she did so, even with a red face. joyce thought about it a second, but decided to ask… ‘’why were you looking at my butt?’’

‘’and what exactly is ‘’to sin’’?’’ she just simply asked, a bit of fake innocence could be heard in her voice. of course joyce knows what it means ‘’to sin’’, she just wanted to hear the definition from the other’s mouth. ‘’do you really think watching cartoons counts as a sin?’’

being nosy wasn’t joyce’s main hobby. if people wanted to share their story with her, cool. if they didn’t want to, cool. perhaps, her question was a little too personal. of course, it wasn’t her intention. but it came out like that, there was nothing she could do about it. ‘’what level am I right now? I wanna know how much I gotta climb.’’

‘’oh? do you like it?’’ a bright grin appeared on her lips as the words left her mouth. she was someone that changed her hair style quite often, five or six months and she would have another hair color. but her hair was always long, so when decided to cut it, pleople was surprised. why would joyce cut it? it was something she wanted to do since a while ago, until she actually got it short. she placed her hand on her hair, she liked the feeling of her new hair. it reminded her of a new beginning, even if it had nothing to do with starting over. ‘’new hair, new me! what do you think, mina?’’

‘’you can’t deny it’s a good song!’’ joyce’s music library was quite extended, she had a song for every situation. when she was asked to suggest one, and if she was happy, she couldn’t help but wiggle. ‘’okay, I’ll show you another one.’’ bitting her bottom lip, she scrolled through her phone, trying to find another song, in the hopes that moonbyul would like it.

‘’why would I have a star ship? … why would we need a star ship?’’ if there was something joyce had to accept, it was the fact that she was always late. whether it be a casual meeting with her friends, or a serious meeting, she’d be late. it was something she was working on. though, this time, the coffee shop they were going to wasn’t that far. ’’we don’t need one. we can get there quickly by just waking, you know?’’
