i think my favorite thing about season 10 is the tango/etho content we’re getting. like there’s something about etho always showing up to tango’s streams to annoy him, or the way tango ribs etho in the chat that makes the rare pair part of my brain itch. they are best friends at heart, and i think tango should be in the running for best ethogirl because that man lives for etho’s attention

apparently this is getting attention again, i would like it to be known that this was far less horrifying than anything we see now. this is child’s play. what we know how it… horror.

so um… apparently some of you ethogirls have never seen this photo before…. so here’s a bit of irl ethoslab lore

this is ethos headset from 2015. back in the day he used to use the microphone in the headset to record, but he hated the way it sounded and always complained that it was shit quality (and i mean…. it was. you watch his videos back in the day and the audio quality is so so so so bad. it’s like he was filming while also actively drowning in a swimming pool). so one day, he posts a video called RIP Headset and also posts a tweet talking about how he “snapped” his headphones in half. i don’t really remember how we got it (i think from twitter, but i’m not exactly sure), but THIS PHOTO is shared by Etho of said snapped headset.

he got a new mic, and all anyone was talking about was how much the audio quality improved on his vids 😭 there’s even a comment from tango on the above video telling etho that his videos would be better if he got a better mic. it was like…. a thing.

so when you hear that etho puts his mic in a tissue box, know that his mic issues stem from repeated attempts to get better audio quality. you cant have tissue box-gate without the infamous headset audio, and the subsequent demolishing of said headset before he got a new mic. this headset walked so that ethos proper tissue box microphone could run. never forget that.

oh, and did i mention this is the ONLY irl content we’ve ever gotten from Etho over the past 12 years? yeah. this man, in all his mystery and secrecy, has only ever given us one irl photo, and it’s of his fucked up headset. hate him.
