We suffer from the delusion that the entire universe is held in order by the categories of human thought, fearing that if we do not hold to them with the utmost tenacity, everything will vanish into chaos.

And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end… because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing… this shadow. Even darkness must pass.

“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.”

hoarfrost
(noun) Although this wintery effect sounds quite harsh to the ears, it is a beautiful, natural occurrence foreshadowing the commencement of winter in late autumn. A hoarfrost is a thin, crispy glaze of ice that wraps itself on objects during cold nights accompanied by clear skies. The clear skies prompt the ground to lose heat faster than the surrounding air, which results in the condensation of the existing humidity, which freezes into a solid. A hoarfrost appears like a grayish-white crystalline coating, which is manifested on the frosty-coated fences and fallen leaves. It is a preview of a winter wonderland, which melts away after an hour or two of sunrise.
etymology: hoar, Old English, meaning “to appear old”
