I was staring at my album delivery and realized I’m now one of those “rich” noona fans I used to be so jealous of as I scrapped together pennies to buy a Shinee repackage because I couldn’t afford two copies like they could. I’m a successful Shawol now too 😭💎

I’m terrible at keeping up with social media so I’m not sure if this has already been theorized but I think we’re going to get a MV for Juice. All the blue liquid suddenly appearing in the video, Onew being missing for parts of it, and his hand reaching out at the end makes me think there will be a part 2 for Juice that will have the other scenes Jinki filmed before his health issues. They could have filmed both at the same time and just didn’t get to finish as a group. We’ll see…

Hard Thoughts

I’ve been a Shawol since 2008, literally watched their debut stage and everything, and I absolutely love Hard. I don’t follow many other Kpop groups, especially anyone after 2nd gen so I don’t have a reference for what NCT sounds like which everyone keeps comparing them to. This is 100% a modern twist on 90s hip hop and Kpop’s 1st gen sound. I always tell people that I never felt the need to get into newer Kpop groups because Shinee gives me all the genres and variety I want within a single group. Between their solo and group albums they are the complete group.

I’m so happy for them that they get to try something new (and absolutely killed it). Taemin is my bias but Minho OWNED the MV. His chorus gave me heart palpitations. Also, so happy he finally got his wish and they did a lower register song. I really hope they do that more in the future because ALL of them have glorious lower tones.

I still need to listen to the rest of the album but I will be living in this song for a while before I get to why I love Shinee: their b-sides!

Hard like a criminal, hard like the beat….

P. S. To everyone saying this doesn’t sound like Shinee, people said the same thing when Ring Ding Dong, Everybody, 1 of 1, etc came out. Every time they do a musical reset some fans complain but it’s literally the combination of all those styles that makes Shinee SHINee!

shinee love is in jinki’s hand spotting taemin until he lands safely during everybody, and it’s minho saving each member in his contacts as ‘my beloved’ because that’s what he saves his family as, and it’s jinki and jonghyun wearing official merch to taemin’s first solo concert, and it’s kibum’s portrait of the five of them hanging at the head of his bed, and it’s in taemin’s laughter as he told jinki he had found the hat he was looking for 7 years ago at his house, and it’s jonghyun waking the other members up in the middle of the night so they could all watch a meteor shower, and it’s inside kibum’s polaroid photo albums, and it’s minho flying to japan to watch taemin’s concert and then flying right back to watch kibum’s solo debut showcase, and it’s jonghyun picking out the o j k m t pendants in a souvenir shop, and it’s taemin saying shinee feels like home, and it’s all of minho’s surprise visits to jonghyun’s blue night, and it’s in the middle of the group hug when they won artist of the year, and it’s the discussions they’ve had and compromises they’ve made as a team behind the scenes, and it’s 14 anniversaries, and it’s them picking shinee again as long as it’s the five of them

I knew pop-up merch prices would be crazy on ebay but have these people actually lost their goddamn minds?? I make good money but the thought of spending $700 on TWO photocards gives me heart palpitations. I would feel ashamed even making a listing like that. Japanese Shinee resellers have been WILD recently. Charging $20 shipping with prices like that?? At least be a little shameful.
