Oracle and Necronomicon
Futaba’s absolutely not a fighter, but her goggles and Persona make her a singularly resourceful young lady when it comes to exploring palaces and fighting shadows.
Oracle’s goggles are the first tool she has at her disposal. While following Joker around, she sees the HUD the player does, minus the key legend in the bottom. She has a dynamic map, the palace security level, points of interest, shadow levels relative to the party, and all that good stuff. She also stores any information they find like passwords and an up-to-date inventory roster, and can see the party’s personas, health and energy levels, and equipment on the fly.
The goggles also have a normal zoom and night mode.
Battle is much more fast-paced and hectic, as well as having much more variables she has to keep track of. The tools for that are not on her goggles but in Necronomicon, so the first course of action for any battle, regardless of if Joker, the enemy, or no one ambushed the other, is for Futaba to enter her Persona and run the battle support protocol.
The protocol gives her a more detailed rundown of all fighting party member’s health, energy, status ailments, and stat boosts. In addition, it lets her cast Kaja and healing skills. As her understanding of Necronomicon and its function grows, she can do far greater things, such as hack an ambushed enemy to their knees right away, pull up a shield to save someone from an otherwise fatal attack, or shift the party composition even without the consent of the others.
She also gets a birds-eye view of the battlefield due to her elevated position, complete immunity from enemy attacks because the party provides a distraction and Necronomicon is nearly impenetrable anyway, and can pull up the affinity readouts for both the party and the enemy shadows in less than a second. Necronomicon’s built-in comms allow her to communicate with the party whenever she wants.
Sometimes, she can even alter the battlefield to suit the party’s needs. However, outside of her own Palace, this takes ridiculous effort and much more time than any of her other skills, so Futaba only does it as a last resort.

Sakura or Isshiki?
Futaba’s had two surnames over the course of her life, born Isshiki and adopted to be given the Sakura name. 99% of the time, she uses Sakura because her birth family mostly consists of assholes as far as she knows, and the less she’s associated with them the better. Besides, Sojiro might as well be her real dad, so she sees no reason NOT to use Sakura.
However, there is one relative she does deeply care for and misses intensely: her mother Wakaba. It’s thanks to Wakaba’s research that Futaba, and through her the other Phantom Thieves, understand cognitive psience as well as they do, and Futaba feels a connection again after years of fearing she was responsible for her death.
So, when she gets serious especially in the field of cognition, Futaba will embrace the name Isshiki again. If you hear her refer to herself with it, know that she’s taken off the gloves and you’re about to see psientific or computer magic happen.

Futaba: Fire Emblem Heroes Edition
Tumblr media
The navigator and supporter of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. Cripplingly shy, but a genius with a bold and stubborn streak. Appears in Persona 5.
Summoning “Hey, who killed the internet? ...oh! I’m uh, my name is Futaba. But since I arrived dressed like this... you can call me Oracle.”
Friend Greeting “Huh. It’s exactly the same as our castle... oh, [Friend] sent me to say hello. So... hello.”
Castle Screen “Any chance I could get a cool outfit like yours? It’s just... I hate standing out like this.” “I know I talk about it like it’s a separate thing, but Necronomicon is actually a part of me. Weird, huh?” “The goggles? Oh, they show me all sorts of cool stuff. Right now I’m looking at a map of the castle. Super useful!” “I’m used to running support. Buffs, healing, weak spots, you name it. Dunno how much of it I can do here, though. Necronomicon’s partially frozen up.” “I gotta admit, being in an ikesai is way cooler than anime makes it look.”
Status Screen *Sighs* “H-hey! No touching!” “Delegated to support again. Can’t I ever become a tank or a carry?” “So... d’you have a guy here with frizzy black hair and grey eyes? Glasses? ...he’d be good to have.” “Inari would freak out if he saw this place. He’d go on for hours about the architecture and the aesthetic.” “We’ve gotta fix your problems here so I can go home and finish my own business!” “Mom was an expert in cognitive psience. She’d be so proud to know what I can do now!” “Don’t think I’m useless because I’m small. I’m a Phantom Thief just like the others!”
Levelling Up 0-1 Stats: “Jeez. I know I’m better than this!” 2-3 Stats: “Getting somewhere!” 4-5 Stats: “I am on point today!”
Learning Skills “Thanks! You won’t regret making us stronger.”
Selected “Hmmm...” “You have orders?” “Let’s go!”
Trigger Skill (Offensive, unused) “All-Out Attack!” ”Don’t underestimate me!” “Go, Necronomicon!” “Out of my way!”
Trigger Skill (Healing) “Support is on the way!” “I’ll do something about that.”
Death “Oww...”
Confession “Oh, hey, [Summoner]. I thought I saw you on the map. This place is... weird. It still doesn’t always feel real- sometimes I expect to wake up at home, behind my desktop, when I go to sleep. But it never happens. I’m still here, fighting this war for you. Oh, I don’t mind. It’s been fun, a change of pace. The people here are nice and I’d like to see them safe too. So, yeah. As long as you think I can be useful? I’ll BE useful.”

Verse: The Order’s Frontline Support
Fire Emblem: Heroes Verse for Futaba Sakura
Gist of the Verse After seeing Hibiki disappear in front of their eyes, Morgana and the Sakuras had a mild freakout. Fortunately for Futaba -and unfortunately for the other two- she finds herself summoned into the same ikesai only seconds later. She arrives in full Oracle getup, and it appears Breidablik has updated her goggles as well as Necronomicon with features and information that’s useful in Zenith rather than in Japan.
While initially freaked out at a new environment with new people, Futaba’s genre savvy-ness, the game-like nature of Askr’s conflict with Embla, and Hibiki’s comforting presence, she quickly finds her place in the Order as a supporter.
Verse-specific Futaba’s not very different in Askr than she is in Japan. She’s still a supporter, although her main role in battle has been changed to healing because Breidablik considered it the best fit for Necronomicon’s abilities. Full build can be found here. Her goggles are updated with a dynamic, real-time map of the castle, and in Necronomicon she has the same overview of a battle we as players do. In order to make room for those additions, though, certain abilities she had in Japan have had to be removed or blocked off.
Key relationships Hibiki Fujiwara is the only familiar face in this entire odd land, so Futaba clings to him desperately. She’s also had to make temporary peace with Goro Akechi, seeing as Breidablik and the contract they’re under forbids them from infighting.

Verse: Navigator of the Phantom Thieves
Main Verse for Futaba Sakura
Gist of the Verse Follows the canon of Persona 5. Initially a depressed and borderline suicidal shut-in following the traumatic death of her mother Wakaba, Futaba used her hacking genius and her online alias of Alibaba to contact the Phantom Thieves of Hearts so that they would save her from her own negative thoughts. The events that followed saw her awaken a Persona by the name of Necronomicon, and while she cannot fight, she’s since joined the Phantom Thieves as their navigator and primary combat support.
Less concerned with the reformation of society, Futaba’s primary goal is to find out who killed her mother and get justice for that; especially now that she knows that she, herself, was at least not responsible.
Key Relationships After her mother’s death, Futaba was taken in and cared for by Wakaba’s old friend Sojiro Sakura, to the point of taking his last name. While she kept him out almost as much as anyone else, she is grateful to him and trusts him now that she’s out of her room.
She has also quickly grown close with the transfer student leading the Phantom Thieves, considering him the closest to an older brother she’s ever had, and derives great amusement from delivering playful jabs at ‘Inari,’ the fox-masked Yusuke Kitagawa.
