The defensive fear and projection built into trans misogyny, whether genuine or performed, is an attempt to wish away what it nonetheless recognizes: that trans femininity is an integral part of the social fabric. There will be no emancipation for anyone until we embrace trans femininity's centrality and value."

I fucking love the wheel of time show everyone should watch it. Couldn’t understand why so many people were giving it negative reviews and then I came to the realization that it was made specifically for the weird gays on tumblr that actually appreciate interesting storytelling. it was made for the people who love awful women, unconventional relationships, negative character development, toxicity, polyamory, qprs, unhealthy devotion, etc etc

It’s hilarious to me to see Wheel of Time fans complaining they didn’t get as faithful an adaptation as Lord of the Ring and holding LotR up as the paragon of fantasy book adaptions as if:

1) Book fans of Lord of the Rings weren’t ALSO complaining about every little change when the films came out

2) As if Lord of the Rings isn’t a 550,000 word novel compared to the Wheel of Time series clocking in at 4.4 million words. Lord of the Rings fits inside the first 2 books of WoT out of 15.

To expect a scene for scene adaptation, which even the 12 hours of LotR didn’t do, is actually detached from reality.
