what products do you use to create your signature brows?
A variety boo, usually start off with a waxy pencil like benefit precisely brow OR a pomade depending on the thickness of the brows, then I’ll play around with powers if necessary and seal with gel x

Hi Oni! I always comes to your blog when I'm looking to buy a new foundation. Whats your review on the fenty one. We use the same shades in majority of the foudnations and was also looking to buy the 290 seeing as though thats what you are. Is it deep on you? How does the shade compare to mac nc 37 ? and your overall thoughts on it. LOVE YOU!
Hi Princess! 290 is a good match, its not as warm as MAC NC37 which has some orange in BUT it does get a lot darker on me, making me look a bit muddy. I really like the ‘soft matte’ finish, it doesnt break me out and the smell doesnt offend me, but the colour change and the fact it just didn't ‘wow’ me means I won't repurchase anytime soon! x

Heyy, was wondering if you could offer me some advice? I'm trying to create minimal waste so only buying skincare that comes in glass now. I've not found any glycolic acid thats affordable and in glass, what do you think of replacing my daily glycolic cleanser with the ordinary peel once a week? And just using a facial soap var for cleansing? I also use the ordinary salycilic acid and ascorbic glucoside serums.
Hi! I think Tata Harper and some Sisley cleansers come in glass BUT as you mentioned are not all that affordable. You could do as you suggest but your skin  is use to a little exfoliation on a daily so something like Alpha-H’s Cleansing Cube might be something to try! It has some Glycolic in! and is a soap bar x

Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation, Review & Swatches
Tumblr media
Luxury Fashion House, Christian Dior have had an established Dior Make Up line for as long as I can remember, their ‘Addict Lipsticks’ were my very first taste of the brand, and I’ve been a patron ever since. This year, headed by creative director, Peter Phillip, they launched a ‘professional’ line, the ‘Dior Backstage’. The collection contained a new foundation- the Face & Body- arguably the most exciting release.
THE PRODUCT
Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation
50ml for £29.00
40 Shades in 16 intensities and 6 undertones
My Shade: 4WO (a smidge too bronze)
Buy: Dior.com, Sephora & Department Stores, Dior Counters
THE GOOD
Long lasting: I don’t need to reapply any products throughout the day, but usually will repowder and blot shiny areas. Max wear time= upto 7 Hours. I have no idea if this is water resistant as it claims, there is some sweat-resistant-ness to an extent, I wore it on the tube and nothing that detrimental happened.
The Shade Range: with 40 shades, 16 intensities And 6 undertones, yes SIX, it would be difficult to not find a near exact shade match. I purchased “4WO”- a medium golden with a warm olive undertone. This is a smidge warm for me, the 4O might’ve been a closer match, but a gradual tan obsessor like myself doesn’t mind.
I’m just amazed a “French” make up house launched such a huge range of colours, and included yellow-olive tones. Here’s hoping similar brands like CHANEL and Saint Laurent follow suit!
The Packaging: I appreciate how convenient the packaging and dispenser is, I don’t have any for my kit yet, but Artists looking to carry this won’t have to deal with any extra weight from glass bottles or potential shattering/ leaking.
The Application: like most similar formulas this is easy to apply with a variety of tools or even fingers. I like to apply with a flat brush and then press the product in with a damp beauty blender. It sinks into freshly moisturised skin so so well
The Finish: imagine just “skin”, natural pretty skin. Not too much dew, not too matte, just perfect. This translates to photographs too, no extra luminosity after the flash!
The Coverage: just right for an “everyday foundation” or a editorial shoot with a “no foundation” theme. It’s pretty much weightless on the skin, again similar to other “Face & Body” formulas.
THE BAD
Only for near perfect skin- I couldn’t build to a High Coverage finish as claims stated, although the coverage is good in terms of redness, anything else like dark blemishes needed concealer. On days I suffered from poopy skin (dehydrated and icky), this really highlighted any extra horrid areas like under my eyes or my chin.
The Fragrance: although quite pleasant and to an extent subtle, the perfume is a potential irritant and has proven to be so when I tested it on my sensitive skin Mama Bear. So acne prone, rosacea prone and in general sensitive skin be wary!
COMPARISON SWATCHES
From L-R: MAC Studio Fix NC37, NARS Sheer Glow Stromboli, Dior 4WO.
*the splodge underneath is NARS Ginger

FINAL THOUGHTS
How does it compare to MAC’s offering? A super common question, it’s nothing like MAC’s F&B, that is exceptionally dewier and sheer on the skin. If anything the Dior Backstage Face & Body is similar to the MAC Waterweight in terms of feel and initial coverage.
To summarise I’m overall happy with this foundation, it’s a great “summer” skin tint with a natural finish I adore. The only negatives are the perfume and hostility towards poopy skin, which in all fairness all foundations are. Is this the one for you? I’m hoping this line is available across all Dior Counters now so pick up a little sample, there are Dior Backstage Counters specifically in Westfield & Covent Garden (I think) too. Otherwise if a skin tint with a smidge extra coverage and lasting power in a whopping 40 shades is what you are after this is the trophy.

hey :) do you know of any nice designer cross body bags which are big enough to carry a water bottle but still more on the small side? thanks x
Hi! Um the Gucci Ophidia ‘Small’ but this is a little big on me! OR the YSL Sac De Jour in Baby/ Nano can fit a small water bottle because of the adjustable sides xx

Best way to get rid of Stubborn spots on cheek? Had them for about 3 weeks now, done so many face masks and use TBh tea tree collection. Tia x
Just relax! Allow your skin 4-6 weeks to recover, miracles do not happen overnight!
I would recommend focusing on detoxing your body too- doing the right amount of exercise, drinking water, cutting out sugars etc.
For the skin, use gentle skincare, sometimes tea tree products don't work well for everyone. I recommend a clay or mud mask 2x a week and an exfoliating mask/ peel 1-2x a week. Follow these up with a hydrating mask a sheet or a traditional cream.
The best advice I can give you is keep it simple, don't overload your skin with lots of product, use a gentle cleanser, toner and moisturiser everyday, remove your make up always, and treat your skin to select masks and treatments per week. x

Hey, any advise on revising for law exams? And what does your typical study consist of? Thank you!
Hey! Always do the set work/ reading on time so as to avoid any last minute cramming! That is my number one tip. I mostly try structure my revision round practice questions and essay writing (by hand) and the typical summarising my notes over and over until they are at the most basic form xx
