Autumn scent recap
September breeze
In hot countries, September looks like August with a stronger breeze. But even though you are miles away from your country (where the leaves would start getting shades of yellow, red and orange), the magical bond to your land makes you dream of chilly air, scent of leaves, countryside barns and autumn harvest.
Thank you, Pieter Bruegel (the Younger) for the gorgeous depiction of “Autumn”.
October Pumpkins
I got older this October. No, I didn’t get more wrinkles. I just got one year older. Somehow, though, I feel as if for the past 2 years I have been given a constant birthday challenge: “how to surpass nasty things happening to you in this time of year or… no cake!”… Something like that. Well, I got the cake. But the challenges have taken their toll on me. Not too drastically, but enough to need a change. A change of air. So I’m going home, to the cold lands of Europe (yes, cold compared to the 30°C or more that I’m experiencing right now at 23.4241° N, 53.8478° E).
Pumpkins, hot chocolate, apple pies, cozy sweaters, scarves and mittens and bonfires…wait for me. With my loved one and my best friend, counting the days until November 17. Going home.
May all the wishes you made on Halloween come true. The good ones only (as a precaution for those who were too drunk and wished macabre things.)

In Autumn I celebrated 6(!!) years loving and being loved by Jesus; I experienced a resurrected and renewed heart through #colourconf; served at #kyck14, #easterfest with Open Doors Youth, and #citytocityau where I was given a huge passion and burden for Sydney; moved to Balmain and became part of the beautiful family at City Light Balmain; celebrated the launch of Anchor Church Sydney; starting working for the infamous James Day Weddings and the wonderful Mici Magazine; and fell in love all over again with the relentless God of Hosea whose love is redeeming and renewing.
Boom. Thanks Autumn.
Bring on winter.
