clearly we didn't do a good enough job promoting it, because a lot of people had no idea that justified was coming back. it's going to be a new story, with various pieces of the old story throw into the mix. the show was always based off a book series by elmore leonard, so if you ever have a chance to sit down and read them it'll be worth it. we can only hope that the student surpasses the teacher at some point, but then again i'd be happy with whatever my kids wanted to do for a living. it's a pleasure to meet you andy, and i'm sorry about that. this is the path we choose when we have kids.

she's twenty! all my kids are now young adults, and i feel both sad and accomplished by that. it was quite nice i'll be honest with you. being able to experience her first acting job with her was an honor that i'll never forget. some families have daddy/daughter dances, i have long nights on set with mine. that's the goal moving forward. we have a bit of a healthy competition to see who can gain more followers on tik tok. so far she's winning by a land slide. it's a pleasure to meet you, but i'm very familiar with who you are. my girls love your music.

I am all for it. I have a funny feeling my boys will be taking after their Dad though by being professional athletes. I am not sure if it will be baseball, football, hockey, soccer, or some other sport. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens when they get older. As long as the boys are happy, I am happy. So other than being a proud Dad, what else is new with you?

nothing wrong with that. whatever your boys decide in life, just be sure to allow them that creative freedom to try and be whatever they want to be. i always let my kids sort of decide for themselves what they wanted to do with their life. my oldest, luckily she took after sports like i did and she's probably a better tennis player than me, my other two not so much. that's how it should be always. the happiness of our kids is all that matters. not a whole lot, just been working on a few projects. been nice to be back to work after some time away. what about you?

i have three kids, and so far only one of them have shown an interest in acting, so i might just be surpassed by the one, but if the other two decide to join in then i'm fucked. how many kids do you have? and have they shown any interest in music? six episodes are streaming on FX and hulu right now, and honestly it's very easy to spot her because she looks like my twin— or at least that's what i'm told. let's hope our kids take over the world one day. maybe they can correct all the wrong in it at the moment. i appreciate that. i would hope i wouldn't become irrelevant, but that's the unfortunate side of hollywood. you can be cool one minute, and an after thought the next.

I’m just saying this now, kids are always cooler than their parents. Always. Think it’s a rule. I love my sisters and all that, but my nieces are legends. That or I just have a mind of a child and that’s why I get on with them so well. How old is your daughter? I’m Mason, it’s nice to meet you. kids are always cooler than their parents, but i can't let my kids know that otherwise it gives them an unspeakable amount of power over me. i gotta make them believe that i still got it. sometimes it's easier to get along with kids when you have the mind of a child, or at least child like in nature. and you seem to have a close bond with your nieces which is nice, i'm sure they love having an older brother figure to look up to. it's a pleasure to meet you mason, and yeah i think it's time to hang my hat for good.

your daddy, that's who i am. god damn, you wasted no time knocking me down six or seven pegs. you might be right about that and i won't deny that she definitely inherited her fathers skills, but could she really surpass me that easily? who am i kidding, of course she can. all it takes is letting you wear the hat and i'm back to being cooler than viv? say less. i promise to tell her everything, especially that her uncle boyd thinks i'm still the coolest olyphant. i can already see the look of betrayal on her face. let's be real, this is vivian's world and we're all just thankful she lets us live in it. you know she told me the other day that i needed to retire? she said, and i quote, "it's time to let it go."

Syd: Hey, that’s water under the bridge. I won’t lie and say it didn’t affect me because it really did, but I’m okay now, and I understand what happened back then. I wish you had told me what was happening before making the call. At the time, I felt like you were making that decision without me, but I do understand the position you were in. And I mean, everything happens for a reason, right? Oh, stop, I’m not a better person than you are. You are amazing, so don’t ever think otherwise. And I’m really enjoying it! I don’t think anyone could get sick of your face, Tim. You and Drew are a pair I didn’t know I needed. She’s also incredible in this! Oh, stop. When you say things like that, I get all warm and fuzzy. I know you’re not too good at taking care of yourself, but you have to give it your best shot. We all want you healthy and I know how exhausting those long hours of work can be. Syd: People actually want to hire me so I need to take advantage of that before they decide not to anymore 😂 imposter syndrome is real sometimes. Look at you being sweet. Timothy: i know it did, and that’s why i’ll never stop apologizing about it. you didn’t deserve to feel any sort of way because of me and my foolish actions, and i’m sorry you were put in the middle of it. i thought i was doing the right thing at the time, because despite what you might think i have a great deal of love and respect for you, and i never wanted you to be pulled in the middle of a messy divorce that had nothing to do with you. i did go about it the wrong way and i will always take responsibility for that, but thank you for still being you and gracing me with your presence in spite of things. you say you could never get sick of my face, but i’m sure it’ll happen at some point. drew was such a fun person to work with. easily one of my top three favorite co-stars of all time. nice to know i can still manage to make you feel warm and fuzzy. maybe i still got it after all. i promise to attempt and take care of myself just for you. Timothy: obviously they want to hire you because you are damn good at what you do. you are quickly taking over hollywood, and rightfully so. i personally would love to see more of your face, on and off screen. only sometimes? my insta-stalking says otherwise. looks like you are living your best life to me. i wouldn’t say i was living my /best/ life, but i can’t complain with where things are right now. just moved into a new home, i’m working again, so yeah. things aren’t going too bad for me either.

That’s very nice of them. I don’t know much about the acting world, but I feel like they have every right not to care about those kinds of things. So I’m sure it’s nice to be part of a crew that cares about your life off of set. Actually, I have. It’s nice, but nothing spectacular –– though I suppose my career would argue the opposite. Or maybe the reason I make a good model is because of how much I blend in so that the clothes shine. You are? Are you filming somewhere cold because it’s cooled down a bit in the last few days, thankfully. Perhaps you’ve brought a cold front with you. Mint is with her dad this weekend, so would Friday or Saturday work? She’s back home Sunday afternoon.

i've always thought i was lucky with the cast and crew that i was blessed to work with. i can say that i've never been mistreated by anyone, and they've always been very understanding when it came to my personal life, and understood that i had a duty as a father first, an actor second. made the work life balance thing very easy in most cases. i don't think that's the reason you made such a good model. have you took a glimpse in the mirror lately? you are fucking beautiful, and the world knows it. detroit can be cold at night, but during the day it's hot as hell. i'll be happy when this heat wave finally cools down. have i? i suppose i should say you're welcome then. oh yeah? how about tomorrow night? we can do dinner at any restaurant of your choice.

really? that surprises me. it’s kind of iconic as you were one of the ghostfaces. so much better than a dewey or randy. and you were one of the first so that will stay special. i’m not trying to age ya, mate. sorry about that. you know what they say, some men age like a fine wine. i understand it might’ve been scary at first but you were there to guide her and i’m glad it turned out alright. oh was she? then she might be jealous that you’re talking to me now.

i was one of the first three ghostfaces in the entire series, so i think that's always gonna be pretty special. still can't believe i was part of that franchise. always did enjoy being able to play the bad guy. it's alright, it's kind of hard not to age me at this point. i am well aware that i have one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel. it's only a matter of time before it catches up to me. apparently the world has said i've entered my silver fox era, but that's only because i can't be fussed to bother with dying my hair anymore. i just let nature takes its course at this point. it was very scary for her at first, but she's been doing so well and i couldn't be more proud of her. she would be very jealous of me, and i plan to tell her as soon as i can that i got to speak to a former one direction member.

indeed, that is a very touching gesture. makes a father feel proud when his offspring becomes interested in what he does for a living. I believe that is a necessary given. kids are often cooler than their parents. in the same manner we were trendier than ours. blue ivy is eleven.

i was pretty excited when she expressed her desire to become an actor. none of my other children seemed to care as much, so being able to take her under my wing and help her get started has been such a highlight, as not only a fellow actor, but a father as well. i've seen the videos of blue ivy up there with her mom. pretty cool to see the second generation grab the reigns from us.

i’ve always found that working with family can be quite frustrating. at least that’s just my experience with the matter. now, granted, mine are typically older than me and definitely more of a pain in the ass than your child could possibly be. she had to learn it somewhere so you should be proud that she’s cooler than you are. she must’ve learned from the best. well you are honestly a pretty cool Olyphant in my book. you might just have to take a few steps down on the cool chain. everyone has to let their kids step up and take the reigns after a while. pleasure to meet you, i’m Adelaide Kane. and i’m probably a rather irrelevant Kane in Hollywood if you asked me. i’m just little ole me.

never underestimate how much of a pain in the ass my children can be. i think it might be worse for me because they live to irritate me on a constant basis. i am pretty proud that she was able to surpass my coolness. i guess i had a couple decades where i was the coolest, so it's time i pass the torch to her. pleasure to meet you as well, adelaide, and i beg to differ with that statement. i know exactly who you are, so that in fact makes you relevant. i don't know any other kanes.

But it does! We were watching Netflix and chilling, so see? It does count. It was my first time watching the show, I’m so lame I know 😜 Well, I am pretty missable so I don’t blame you – I’m kidding. Oh wow, that does sound exhausting. Make sure you take care of yourself though, eat properly, drink water and get enough sleep. Syd: I’m okay, I think. Same old, working my ass off. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Do I? How can you tell? Have you been doing some insta-stalking? 😉 Timothy: i wouldn’t have blamed you if you didn’t want to talk to me again. i could tell you how sorry i was until the end of time, but that doesn’t make what i did okay. i guess i thought i was doing you a favor at the time, but after thinking about it i know that wasn’t the right call to make. but thanks for being the bigger person and reaching out anyway. you always were a better person than me, syd. i suppose i’ve been proven wrong, you can in fact netflix and just chill. how far have you gotten into the series? do you still enjoy it or are you sick of my face yet? you are pretty missable, that isn’t even a lie. i miss you every day. i miss everything about you. i’m doing my best to take care of myself, but you know i’ve never been good at it. Timothy: nothing wrong with that. remain as booked and busy as you can. i might have been checking instagram a couple times a week to make sure you were out there living your best life.
