About the Artist
Jennifer Williams uses the canvas to interpret her feelings and emotions onto a blank sheet. The canvas is a place where Jennifer escapes and invites the viewer to join. With an interest in painting, whether it be oil or acrylic, she mixes the colors and applies what is the best way for her to better communicate her ideas. Jennifer is eager to push her limits to do what is best for the art through the works of conceptualism. It is in hopes that she can spread the joy of art to children and viewers, encouraging creativity, and help others communicate about those things that we often find too difficult to express.

Artistic Statement
Art is the oldest form of communication—an expression of feeling, belief, and character. In art, whether it be painting, drawing, or ceramics, I like to capture my thoughts and emotions through whatever art form I believe will best represent and convey my ideas. I find it particularly interesting how art reminds us of the past and how we apply our own experiences and recollections to interpret artworks. I want my pieces, which may at times appear as an abstraction of colors and shapes, to also represent the feelings behind objects that were once a part of someone's life. Believing in the transformative power of art; how it is therapeutic and pushes to encourage creativity in others. Whether it be from life experiences or provoking thoughts, I express myself to speak the truth and let go. Wanting to learn to help others communicate their emotions and ideas through art, to better articulate those things we often find too difficult to express.
