Relistening to the Magnus Archives with a group of new listeners and I created this monstrosity.

I know some people have talked about it on here, but I am so deeply intrigued by the "some of them are benevolent" comment from Lena. This is such a sharp contrast with Archives, where Gerry explicitly tells us that there's no forces of hope or love opposite the Fears. And it immediately got me thinking about the possibilities.

So discounting the obvious chance that Lena is lying, what is the standard for benevolence? Is it just that some of them are willing to with the OIAR? Is it that some of them are only selectively harmful? Or are there actual, fully "good" entities that we haven't seen yet?

There's a common thread through multiple Protocol statements that my friends and I have been calling "Fortune", the theme that a lot of people are getting some power that warps and twists their desires, initially granting them what they want but eventually consuming them. It seems to have many parallels to an Archives entity: objects of power (dice, violin), servants (dice guy, wandering merchant), and even a root in human consciousness. Would Fortune be considered benevolent by some categorizations? Violin guy certainly profited from it with minimal ill effects.

Regardless, I can't wait to see more of these entities, more of the Externals, and to see how Gwen adapts to her new knowledge of the world.

I'm curious if the song summons Mr. Bonzo ... the lyrics certainly imply that it does. And we hear it playing both times he's been physically present in the podcast. But how would the OIAR get the target to play it? I'll definitely be looking out for it more in the future.

So they certainly seem to be setting up Oscar Jarett tattoos as something like this world's Leitners. I wonder if they're all associated with the same Entity or with different ones. Ink5oul's is a floral snake pattern and the one from TMAGP 11 is a sea monster... Either way, it seems like they can be taken and transferred between people, which will be very interesting to see.
