early life ( 1997 - 2007 )

rhys has always been the apple of his mother’s eye. being the couple’s only child , she raised rhys with nothing but love and attention , probably spoiling him a little in the process. whatever rhys wanted to do , she’d let him. such as the time when he wanted to learn guitar and she immediately bought him one and sent him to a music instructor. ( he only stayed for two weeks and quit after. ) he was after all her little bundle of joy.

he wasn’t really close with his father since he was always out working, going on ‘business trips’ and all that. he was barely even there when rhys was growing up but it didn’t bother rhys because he had his mother who cherished him and gave him the best childhood possible.

unfortunately, when rhys was ten, his mother was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. by then, it was too late to treat it and instead of undergoing chemotherapy, his mother chose not to.

after his mother, passed away, it didn’t take long for rhys’ father to move on. maybe it was the fact that he never really loved rhys’ mother all along and he's been cheating on her for years now with another woman. his father remarried after a month of his mother’s death, earning rhys a step-mom.

middle school ( 2008 - 2010 )

rhys’ step-mom wasn’t the kindest person. she was self-centered and only liked rhys’ dad because he spoiled her. ( probably where all the money his dad earned went. ) she not only demanded things from rhys’ dad but also ordered rhys around to do household chores that she should be contributing in. she didn’t even know how to cook so they had to live off of microwavables.

things changed around the house when his step-mom got pregnant. his dad became distant and cold again, barely going home and using his ‘business trips’ excuse that rhys has heard a thousand times before. his step-mom wasn’t too thrilled about having a child of her own, but rhys was glad to finally have a sibling.

when his half sister was born, rhys was probably the only one who was excited. everyday after school, he would spend his time taking care of her while his step-mom went off to spend more of his dad’s money. by now, rhys was used to being the one cleaning around the house and doing things on his own.

high school ( 2010 - 2014 )

high school was when things started getting messy. his step-mom had found out about his dad cheating and decided to leave them, including his little sister. it was tough for rhys because it wasn’t like his dad cared about them. for several days he wasn’t able to go to school because he had to take care of his sister. he was almost failing his class if he didn’t have his friends who would help him with his homework and his teachers who would reach out to him

rhys’ father was still the same. it was clear that he didn’t really liked the idea of having children and would prefer to keep it that way. one day when rhys woke up, all of his father’s things were gone. he realized that his father had left his children ( probably with one of his mistress ). rhys tried to make things work for a while but with missing out on a lot of school days , his teacher ended up visiting him. because of this visit , he and his sister ended up under foster care.

his foster parents were more than welcoming of him and his sister and treated them like they were their own children. finally, rhys and his sister got the proper care that they deserved. thanks to his foster parents, he no longer had to worry about adult things that teenagers his age didn’t have to.

on his senior year of high school, his foster parents decided to legally adopt rhys and his sister. the last name jackson is his foster family’s.

𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕪 .

innovative

rhys is the type to think of an idea to alleviate something like world hunger or poverty. he likes helping people and he has all sorts of ideas on how he can do it. he can be described as optimistic most of the time.

independent

because of his experience after his mother died , doing things on his own is no problem for rhys. in fact he’d prefer doing things by himself if he had a choice. he almost hates relying on others for his success which is why helping him wouldn’t exactly earn a “thank you” from him.

condescending

rhys’ pride level is probably on a 99 on a 100 scale. he loves being right and it hurts him to admit defeat. sharing ideas with him is probably not the best thing to do because he shoots down ideas that don’t really match with his own.

detached

despite being a compassionate and caring person, it’s hard for rhys to show any type of affection. he doesn’t like pouring out his feelings to others. he’s not big on listening to others’ expressing their feelings to him as well , because frankly he doesn’t really know what do in those situations.

impulsive

doing whatever he wants is something rhys has always been an expert of. probably why he’s also the fastest to lose interest. he doesn’t really think that much with his head but goes with his gut most of the time. one day he wants to do this and the next he’d prefer to do something else. he also likes going on any type of adventure and is down to do almost anything.
