knows his boredom wonât cease to last that much longer with the otherâs presence nearby , though that always seems to be the case during these appearances . â oh , not a chance , â head shakes in agreement as attention moves from the male to surroundings , sensing the aura that male wanted no part of . â this is looking more like a nursing home than a business function , man , â had its perks and consequences as atmosphere is heavily stale , but positions opening up could land the two straight to the very top of the business world . and god knows they could use it . â but hey , at least thereâs f r e e drinks so thereâs no more complaining from my end . â
â
Kellan isnât sure how exactly he wants to liven up the situation, but he knows he probably shouldnât. It isnât good for business. At least, thatâs what his dad taught him. Whenever he did teach him something, it was all about getting ahead, making sure you were the winner. There was very little time to let loose and have fun in that sort of instruction. But heâs always been able to find the loophole in anything. He gestures with his drink. âLook at these dicks. And to think! Weâre meant to be âequalsâ or whatever.â He scoffs. âI canât imagine a crueler death than ending up like one of them.â He sips at his drink. âThough you do have a point. If weâre gonna suffer, at least thereâs a healthy supply of booze.â

as  sierra  made  her  way  into  kellanâs  place  ,  she  tossed  some  keys  in  his  direction.  â  iâm  bored  and  those  are  the  keys  to  my  dadâs  bugatti  ,  letâs  go  somewhere.  â  though  she  wasnât  in  distress  or  dealing  with  anything  too  traumatic  ,  who  didnât  want  to  take  a  relaxing  ride  down  the  highway  ? her own brothers would never agree and , everyone  else  she  wouldâve  asked  would  probably  crash  it  within  seconds  ,  so  he  at  least  had  that  going  for  him.
â
Before sheâd come over, he hadnât been doing much of anything. Listening to broody music and trying not to think too hard about his life and the state of it. She provided the perfect distraction for him to get out of the rut he sensed was building. Kellan caught the keys against his chest. He grinned. He loved nothing more than an excuse to drive fast in an expensive car. Sierraâs boredom was his ticket to a night that he might just not hate. âGot any destinations in mind? Or are we really gonna let me pick?â

it had been a busy morning for the girl, she had been running around doing some errands and preparing for next week so she could spend time not worrying about it on the weekend. maggie was just coming out of the grocery store when she couldnât believe her eyes. it was kellan. she had to double take, surely he would have grown out of this type of behaviour by now. maggie shook her head before pushing her trolley in the director of the other. âare you kidding me right now kellan.â she said raising her voice slightly. âyou are still doing this shit, like come on kellan you need to grow up this is getting ridicious.â the girl said looking at the other and crossing her arms. this was the last thing she expected to deal with today.  @ofkellanâ
â
The last person he bet on seeing was Maggie. He shouldâve known that eventually theyâd run into one another. After all, it wasnât that big of a city. Immediately, the guilt threatened to shake his composure. He couldnât figure why she was botheringâespecially since heâd made it clear he wasnât ever going to be anything different. The cart zoomed in his direction, he was sort of surprised it didnât end up hitting him. Mostly because he happened to be smoking a blunt at the time, and his reflexes werenât exactly on high alert. âDamn, Maggie.â Recovering, he shook his head and plastered a fake smile on his face. âOh come on, like you expect anything else.â

sheâs buzzed, sheâll admit it, and she canât stand to see him sitting alone by the bar anymore. she runs a hand through her hair, picking up a shot from the tray in front of her and throwing it back before sheâs picking another one up, dancing her way over to the bar until sheâs behind him, placing the shot in front of him and pressing a kiss to his cheek. âhey pretty boy, guess who?â a smirk is planted on her features as she slides into the stool next to him
@ofkellanâ
â
Kellanâs nursing drink number three? Four? Unknown. It doesnât really matter, especially since he has not intention of stopping. Itâd been rough at work recently, and he was in desperate need of reminding himself that he was here, he was alive. âFlorence Pugh? You finally got my messages!â he gasps out, laughing at his own joke as he tilts a head towards her. âThough I guess youâre a perfectly acceptable alternative.â The smiles come all too easily, though he knows itâs part charade. If he were the type to be honest with himself, heâd acknowledge something was wrongâthat it was more than just work bringing him down. But he wasnât that type. Not at all. âHave you come to save me from downing in the whiskey by myself?â

wouldnât be surprised if the annoyance across his features was painfully obvious , one of the matters he hated the absolute most . but , of course , if it meant maintaining his place in the family then male would so happily conjure up a last minute smile . isnât all bad when known features brush past his gaze , entire demeanor perking up now that things just got . . interesting .  â hey man ! itâs going alright , â he starts , quick smile accompanying the manâs words ,  â but give it a couple of minutes and it wonât cause itâll most likely be me . this shit , dude , is the very d e f i n i t i o n of a ghost town . â
â
CJ was always a welcome face at these sorts of things, and not only because he was engaged to his sister. Out of all the snooze-fest people he was forced to deal with through his business ventures, he was by far one of his favorites. âWell, donât let me stop you from having a good time.â He smirked. âThough youâve got one hell of a point.â He sipped at his drink. âThis place could use some livening up, but Iâm not sure theyâd survive it.â Despite the fact that he didnât care for most of the business world of Charleston, Kellan was all about getting ahead, becoming better. Really, becoming the best. So he couldnât risk it. His obsession was probably not the healthiest thing, but...He was a Luxâsince when was he expected to be healthy?Â

bio and background !Â
Born to the excessively wealthy Lux family, Kellan has had it made since day 1. At least, thatâs what he wants everyone to think.Â
He was a quiet kid growing up, always reading or listening to music. He didnât have many friends, or attract much attention from others at all. He wasnât in the spotlight, and he definitely wasnât impressive in the eyes of his parents. He liked it that way thoughâhe was content to be with his books and ideas.Â
Before he turned thirteen, he hated the pressure his mother and father placed upon him and his brother and sister. He dreamed of them losing all their money, and what it would be like for them to be a ârealâ family.
Now? He knows much better. He knows that his parents would never changeâeven if they did lose their money. They were not built for family vacations to the beach or happy Thanksgivings surrounded by their love for one another. His family, he started to believe when he was in middle school, was meant for greatness. But that greatness came at a price. And he decided he was willing to pay it.
After he turned thirteen, Kellan might as well have sold his soul to the devil.
He put his smarts and reading skills to good useârising to the top of his classâenough that he graduated as Valedictorian. His speech, while lacking in some nuances, ended up going viral, and he soon caught the eye of many influential business people and his peers.
Kellan relished in the attention. While before he had wanted nothing more than to disappear, to fade into the background, now he found his rightful place was at the helm of everything and anything.
And while he mightâve been an excellent student, he couldnât hide from his reckless side, his need to let loose and forget about the dark, deep sadness that lurked just beneath the tequila and money and girls and expensive cars that he pushed well over the speed limit.
He couldnât always hide from the depression and anxietyânot that he thinks he has those. He thinks theyâre for other people. Honestly, people with less ambition and prestige. So what if sometimes he canât get out of bed or his hands shake so bad he has to dig his nails into his arms?Â
In college, he started venture after venture. Most of them are now small companies that he sold for far more than cost to build. However, with the aid of his trust fund, he was able to create his true baby: a site called Luxet, which is dedicated to click bait, quizzes, questionable news reporting, and gossip that has people scanning it for hours at a time. Sure, there are the critiques, but so far, the siteâs bringing in the money that Kellan knew it could.
Kellan, all too often, gives into the side of him that craves intrigue and dangerâputting himself in harmâs way is just one more gamble he canât resist. Of course, it hasnât landed him in any real trouble. Perhaps a speeding ticket here and there, but heâs been careful to keep any mention of his wild ways away from the prying eyes of investors in future endeavors. Plus, heâs a rich man in 2021âand even if he might have something coming, he knows it might only make him even more sought after.
Heâs in business school at the moment, but itâs really only a gesture to his family, a formality. Another impressive degree to add to his Harvard undergrad diploma. While the money from his family certainly helps, heâs already made his first million, and has no intention of stopping from there.Â
more !
Wouldnât know what a healthy relationship looked like if it stomped him on the face
Disaster boi who probably needs a hug but wonât let it happen cause heâd probably fall to pieces the minute you touched him
Thinks heâs hot shit someone pls inform him heâs wrong
âWhat? Itâs a banana, how much could it cost? 10 dollars?â
Probably cried over a Hemingway book idk heâs a little weirdo still even if he covers it up well
Acknowledging your mental health and seeking help whomst
Think Kendall Roy vibes from Succession if youâve seen it (the name thing was pure coincidence lol) and Andrew Garfieldâs character in The Social Network
wc !
The Best Friends You Ever Did See: Kellan is a mess, but heâs also extremely loyal to those he loves/trustsâgive him 3-4 people he would probably (and might have lbr) commit a crime for
Ex: I feel like Kellan would try to get close to someone, fuck it all up, and then act like none of it mattered to cover up his pain, so if youâre down for that mess hmu
Rivals: Maybe someone he feels threatened by?? Like however they feel about him he canât stop thinking they are/have the potential to be better than him at something. Could be fun idk am open to lots of different stuff w/ this one!
Party fiends: Just people he can get into all kinds of trouble withâhe probably races cars, goes to clubs, and gets into all kinds of shenanigans on the regular so...
Good influence: For some reason, this person wants Kellan to be a better personânot that he thinks he needs to change, of course. God knows itâs a saintâs job, but this one might just have the ability to make him see sense from time to time
Enemy/frenemy: Someone who he just canât stand, and they feel similarly about him. Maybe they get along sometimes though, and itâs more a complex situation than he likes to think about. Really would love to play this into all kinds of different things and am super open to plotting something unique out here.Â
Potential investors/fellow people in business: Basically, he loves to schmooze. Plus, I think an investor/business relationship could be really cool to plot out!
