Seonhwa was so hungry that she had practically inhaled the food on her plate, that when she realized, it was all gone and she was still hungry. Was it that obvious? She looked up at the girl and smiled. "Oh, no, it's okay. That's yours." She was supposed to watch what she was eating now that QUEEN was working on a comeback, but Seonhwa couldn't help herself when she reached for the menu again. "Do you want to order some dessert? Oh, blueberry cheesecake sounds so good. Let's order a slice for each, and some ice cream?"

If there was something Seonhwa was grateful for, was that they had turned one of the guest rooms into a personal gym. Sure, the building had a gym, but she liked the privacy their own apartment provided. When she woke up all alone in bed and put on Haneul's shirt to cover herself, she knew that she would find her boyfriend working out, and she was happy to be right. The soloist leaned against the door frame and smiled as she watched her boyfriend. A smirk tugged at the corner of her lips when she was caught and she shrugged. "Absolutely. Maybe after you're done, we can take a shower and I can give you a massage."

"I don't think you're a good person, Natty," she said seriously. "I think you're a wonderful person. And I don't even know why you're asking this. Nobody's perfect, you know? We all have parts of us that aren't pretty and we don't really want to show everyone, but they're just part of us. That doesn't make us bad, just human. You're a great person and an amazing friend. And the next time you doubt yourself, just remember that a bad person wouldn't consider themselves bad."

Seonhwa stared at the text she had received. When she realized there was no way she could fall asleep all alone in her bed, she had considered texting Haneul. But her boyfriend was busy and she shouldn't interrupt him. If there was someone she knew for sure would still be up, that was Min. It was nice to know there was someone she trusted and wouldn't judge her for being up at this hour. The room felt so cold without Haneul there, and she wondered if it would ever be possible to sleep if he didn't come home. She worried when he worked late, going home tired and with barely a couple of hours to sleep.
SEONHWA โ MIN โ No. Don't tell me you're still at work?
SEONHWA โ MIN โ Do you ever sleep?
SEONHWA โ MIN โ You're the Infinite building ghost at this point.

The question caught the soloist off guard. When she had invited Deiji over for lunch, Seonhwa had wanted to pamper the leader since she knew she had been working really hard lately. Seonhwa looked as Bomi whined and barked, demanding Deiji's attention. "I think you're a wonderful person, Deiji-ah. Not everyone has gone through with what you have and still kept going with such grace. You should give yourself a lot more credit." She reached over to the kitchen island for the other's hand, glad that she was on a stool and it made it possible. "You're one of my favorite people."

The creative team had given them some suggestions, but this subunit was their baby and they had to decide what to do. At Somi's question, Seonhwa was a bit confused, but instantly reached out for her friend's hand. "Of course I do. You're one of the most wonderful and beautiful people I know. You're kind and thoughtful, you always consider everyone's feelings before yours and try to make people happy. You're amazing, Mimi."

Now, that was a question that she hadn't expected when the younger had asked her if they could have a minute. The truth was that Seonhwa had written way too many songs about love, and yet none of them could express what love felt to her. The soloist took a sip of her water and sighed. "I guess there's not really a general concept, I feel like love is different for everyone. It's when you know this person just fills gaps that you didn't even know you had, because you never imagined someone would fit so well with you that you feel whole again. It's like waking up in the morning knowing you have a reason to smile, because that person exists and they make your life better."

That made her laugh. Bomi was such a sweet pup, but she was spoiled and thought everything was hers unless told otherwise. "But I saw people with their pets, Hannie! One woman had her dog in the cart. So I wonder, why shouldn't we bring Bomi with us next time? She's a good girl." She was a mess, but Seonhwa loved her so much. The soloist leaned into Haneul's side and smiled contently. Even if the place still smelt a bit weird of burnt food, she could relax because Haneul was home and the three of them were cuddling. Bomi was more than happy to be close to her parents, yawning as she got ready for a nap. "I'm already done. Who do you think you're talking about, Choi Haneul? It's all hidden where you can find it, and with that, I mean in the bottom of my side of the closet. You giant can't reach there."
She smiled softly against his lips. Seonhwa was more than happy not to talk about Infinite, because she didn't have anything nice to say and she wanted them to relax, not to have an argument over how much the company sucked. "I know you wouldn't. Maybe we can plan it soon. We haven't gotten time off in forever, they owe us vacation time." The tour didn't count because they had been working like crazy then. "Naples is good, we can go there. But I was thinking something more romantic, maybe Verona? We can stay in that Juliet hotel and go to her house, I can write her a letter. It can be fun. I'm sure we can find someone to look after Bomi." Many of their friends would love to have the pup with them for a while and they would have nothing to worry about. "So we can go to both, maybe Florence and Capri? I would love to see the Medici Palace."
" she would have torn the store apart. " haneul couldn't keep the amusement out of his voice. bomi in a grocery store sounded like a fucking nightmare. she would see the deli section and lose her tiny mind. seonhwa had spared herself an even more insane day. idly, han's tattooed arm wrapped around her shoulders, his fingertips stroking her shoulder. he always felt a bit on edge, no matter the surroundings โ but he was far more at ease with her at his side. already, he could feel the tension of the work day wash away. " yeah, we can try christmas day then. " he didn't really place much stock in the holiday times; they reminded him of a cold, miserable childhood. to this day, it was weird to think about it as days filled with family plans. it wasn't an unwelcome change, but strange nonetheless. " have you done much gift shopping yet ? " han asked, knowing that the soloist was more on top of this shit than he was.
he sighed lowly, knowing that his girlfriend wouldn't relent. it wasn't like she was wrong or that his resentment towards infinite had gone away. haneul just learned to adjust to it all over the years, instead of letting the company weigh him down into oblivion. " i won't say no to an offer like that. " the bodyguard spoke with a faint half-smile, leaning down to press his lips against hers. having her hands all over him sounded like a hell of a way to end the night. " how about naples ? " han suggested. italy did sound great but they'd been to milan and rome already on tour. he craved something new with a chance of adventure. naples had great wine and apparently the best pizza there was. sounded like a win-win. " always wanted to see the ruins of pompeii. "

"It was fun! I would have taken Bomi with me, but I thought it would take longer. Maybe next time, right?" She had not only gotten the ingredients she had needed for the dish, but also all the snacks and drinks she found. Now, he would find them at some point, but right now she didn't think it was information he needed. The soloist rested her head on the back of the couch as she looked at Haneul and smiled, feeling so happy to have him home. "Oh, I like that!" Which translated into her sitting on the counter with a glass of wine and a plate of cheese and grapes as she watched. "Yeah, let's do that. But not right now. I know! Maybe for Christmas? Mom and dad want us to go to have dinner for Christmas Eve, they told your mother, too. Butt the next day, we can just spend it home in our pjs with Bomi."
She still worried whenever she saw her boyfriend ready to sleep as soon as he got home. "They're overworking you." Again. Words remained in her mind, instead. They both knew how horrible Infinite could be to him, even now that he was one of their most valuable bodyguards. Haneul not only protected Somi at this point, but he also made sure the whole building was safe and other guards knew what to do. "I'll give you a massage later, yeah?" She smiled when Bomi snuggled into Han's chest and laughed. "Sure, girl. That's my favorite place to rest, too." It would have to be a place where they could relax, but also have adventures. "I'd like to go to Italy. Good food, good wine, what's not to like?"
" alright. sushi. " haneul confirmed as he took the seat next to seonhwa on the comfortable sofa. with bomi squirming in her arms, he decided to take her phone to free up her hands. pulling up the food delivery app, he selected their favorite sushi spot from the main page. delivery seemed like their best bet; that way, neither of them had to leave the condo, or each other's company, for the rest of the night. " i actually can't believe it. " han admitted with a low chuckle, adding some of their usuals to the cart. seonhwa was an incredibly smart woman and capable of a lot, but grocery shopping had never been her forte. she typically just bought whatever she desired, instead of walking into the store with a plan. that was usually what he was for.
" next time, why don't we make it together ? " the bodyguard suggested, handing the phone back to her so she can add what she wants. his question was code: why don't you let me cook while you supervise ? he very nearly suggested his girlfriend learn from eunkyung but he knew that as much as she adored seonhwa, her cooking skills would horrify his mother. bomi whined for his attention and haneul's quick to scoop her into his tattooed arms. " i am exhausted, jagi. but i'll be fine, don't worry. " he shrugged, far too used to the feeling by now. at least the new life he'd made for himself alleviated the weariness. leaning down, han pressed a kiss to her shoulder. " sure as hell wouldn't say no to a vacation with you, though. where should we go ? "
