Vanessa nodded. "Well, you definitely succeeded. It's certainly a statement piece." Vanessa looked down at her own dress, and her gaze stayed down as she heard the name. Charlie... Charlie... Why did that sound familiar? Her memory hadn't been the same since her brief coma. She laughed a bit awkwardly, picking up her skirt a bit then letting it drop as she met their eyes again. "I feel a bit silly dressed like this, to tell the truth. I'm so used to being in uniform."

Charlie paused, looking at the woman and blinking slowly. Something was off. "Yes I didn't want to wear a boring mask. Wanted to do something a bit different." And the frilly stuff just didn't suit her anymore. This one did. "Charlie." She nodded in greeting. She wanted to get back to her kind nature. It was just hard.

Vanessa swallowed thickly when he said his name. Evan. It was Evan. Her little brother. But how...? He seemed... well, older, for one. Different. It had been so long... She looked around. Maybe someone was trying to mess with her? When she looked back to him, she felt her hands start to tremble. She hid them behind her back. "Vanessa," she finally answered, wondering if he'd even remember her or know who she was, here. This place seemed to affect everyone differently. And if it could bring back the dead... "Vanessa... Afton." She waited to see his reaction.

Something about the person in front of Vanessa right now made them feel ill at ease. Like she somehow knew them, and the story wasn't very comforting. She squirmed a little and tried to smile, holding out a hand. "I don't think we've met. My name's Vanessa. That mask..." It was mildly disturbing. "It's different."
