Hey everyone, I never thought i would have to make one of these but now I do.

This is my darling pup Snow, she has been my support system for 6 years. I’ve known her since she was born. She’s been my everything, my light, my life and she has gotten me out of many dark places.

Today I had to take her to the pet ER because suddenly, she could no longer walk after having mobility issues for a couple of months. Now, I know it was probably partial CCL tears. She has bilateral CCL tears in her knees that will require TPLOs, or Tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy. This surgery is really pricey for one knee, much less two. I have some savings that I will be putting towards these surgeries but I don’t know in the end how much it’s going to run me. I will be paying out of pocket for all of this.

I am a Vet Tech but I lost my job around two weeks ago and now I have no stable income to put towards her surgery other than some savings. The pain is so bad that she cannot go outside to go to the bathroom, even with help. Using a sling makes her scream and she cannot lift her hind end. So, I’m asking for help. Please, anything will help both Snow and I get her on the road to recovery. We would appreciate every little bit of help. Thank you.

hello so my abusive household has become too much and i need to leave definitively. i plan to move to another city around 100km away because that’s where my true support network is - i went to college there, my friends who’ve helped me before are there, my therapist is there - and also because i’ve tried fleeing and staying in the same city before and my parents ended up just finding me and making me come back to live with them which i do not want a repeat of

My little sister is a nurse in a hospital that specifically caters to heart/lung things. I talked with her today a bit about the covid vaccine and how I felt guilty signing up for it when I’m absurdly low risk and she didn’t even hesitate when telling me to GET IT.

Apparently they’re seeing a lot of high risk people not getting the vaccine because of microchips or what the fuck ever the conspiracy theory of the week is. By getting the vaccine, even if you’re low risk, you’re protecting those who are gullible enough to reject it because FacebookDotEagleDotTrump said it’s BAD (and those who might have a legitimate medical reason not to.)

Anyways. Get the vaccine. Protect dumb boomers & MAGAs whether they like it or not. My little sister is tired of watching grandmas die because Quanon said the gubernment was gonna track their casseroles.

I am truly running out of options, everyone. My neck is still degenerating at the rate of an overbaked sugar cookie, which could kill me if I don't replace the degenerative discs with artificial ones. The growths in my spinal cord make me lose a little more feeling in my arms everyday, and I know they're going to paralyze me if I don't have them surgically removed.

i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.

and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish.

i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately.

This is fucking important. I am glad someone fucking spoke about this and said what they had to say. The damage is terrible, and all the evergreen, stone, even the ground is black. I was fucking terrified when Croatia was burning. The fire was near a village where I like and I thought it will burn down. I thought the church will burn down. I thought the cemetery where my grandpa is buried will burn. I still remember the smell of smoke, and when I went to check how bad is fire, my clothes and hair and skin all stunk of smoke. It didn’t go away for weeks.

Hi! No, I haven’t done this but it’s a good idea. I kinda hate how everyone is always kissing steve’s ass when it comes to Peter lmao

First of all, Peter did learn about the accords. He may not have been able to understand the entire concept of it at the moment but the kid is not deaf. He heard the entire convo between the avengers, he knows what was going on. Stop treating him like a dumbass yall.

Tony Stark: And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Clint. 'Rescuing' Wanda from a place she doesn't even want to leave, a safe place. I'm trying to keep... I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Avengers apart. Steve Rogers: You did that when you signed. Tony Stark: Alright, We're done. You're gonna turn Barnes over, you're gonna come with us. NOW! Because it's us! Or a squad of J-SOC guys... with no compunction about being impolite. Come on. Sam Wilson: We found it. Their Quinjet's in hanger five, north runway. Steve Rogers: Alright, Lang.

Peter was there. And Tony didn’t just put Peter there to fight against his friends. He told him about the situation:

Peter Parker: Hey, Mr. Stark, what should I do? Tony Stark: What we discussed. Keep your distance. Web 'em up. Peter Parker: Okay, copy that!

Steve Rogers: Look kid. There's a lot going on here that you don't understand. Peter Parker: Mr. Stark said you'd say that. Wow. Steve: Stark tell you anything else? Peter Parker: That you're wrong. You think you're right. That makes you dangerous. Steve Rogers: Guess he had a point.

And after this convo he proceeded to drop an entire plane equipment on the kid. The directors confirmed that Tony instructed Peter into what was about to happen.

‘If you're going out to capture a bunch of people who you don't necessarily want to hurt, you couldn't ask for a better character than Spider-Man to take with you. So he's obviously mentored the kid for what's about to go down.’ - Russo Brothers.

Peter even tells Tony that for some reason Cap and co are not stopping. Because this is what he discussed with Peter. He brought him to web ‘em up, just like he said. Cap escalated the fight.

Sam Wilson: What do we do, Cap? Steve Rogers: We fight.

This dude is in a war zone 24/7 and instead of getting the help he needed (therapy) he decided he wanted to be right all the time. Kinda weird if you ask me, this devotion towards giving Bucky justice and letting him live the life he deserves free of HYDRA but he drops the opportunity to actually see that happen in Endgame.

So, now that we know all of this, we can conclude:

Peter learned about the accords in school and he didn’t look shocked, angry or betrayed. This means he understands why they exist.

Peter is a smart kid, he’s not going to continue to admire someone that ‘betrayed’ him by signing those accords. He knows why Tony had to sign, he owns a TV.

Peter doesn’t necessarily need to agree with the accords to be on Tony’s side. Stop acting like Peter experiencing prison time on the Raft and getting arrested is better.

Some of you can’t stop talking about how a comic version of Tony revealed Peter’s identity but forget that if Peter were to be on Cap’s side his identity would’ve been revealed to the government (once getting arrested; something that happened to team cap). Something Tony always prevented.

Knowing Tony’s plan to change and amend the accords, he would’ve agreed that the best option is to sign to better terms and conditions. Stop acting like going against the law should apply to all cases, if 117 countries were that concerned about their safety, there must be a reason. Peter can understand that.

Tony promised protection for Peter and better equipment so he can go out and be safer. I don’t think Cap would’ve offered that to Peter given he didn’t exactly care for Clint or Scott’s families.

Your comic version of Peter is not the same as MCU Peter. It’s important you remember that.

‘Exactly. But I can't tell anybody that, so I'm not. When you can do the things that I can, but you don't and then the bad things happen. They happen because of you.’ is not a valid excuse to say that Peter would’ve sided with Cap. He might be an impressionable kid but as I said before, he’s not a dumbass. Peter knows how to read between lines and how to critically understand situations.

Also remember comic!Steve is different from MCU Steve.

Peter goes by guilt, intention and accountability, not by righteousness, devotion and patriotism like MCU Cap. Peter stated he would feel like it’s on him if something were to happen to someone. He can’t forgive himself that easily. You can see that he still feels guilty about what happened to Ben and what happened to Tony as well. It’s the pivotal essence of his character. An example of this is when Ned and Betty were trapped in the roller coaster in FFH. Peter decided to try and save Betty and Ned instead of fighting the gigantic monster terrorizing Europe and its citizens. When Fury/Talos told him off he wanted to cry and felt like he wasn’t fit to be what people wanted him to be. Peter Parker: Hey, man, my friends are here? And I can't help but think we're putting them in danger- Nick Fury: You're worried about us hurting your friends? Cap goes by ‘this job... we try to save as many people as we can. Sometimes that doesn't mean everybody. But if we can't find a way to live with that, next time... maybe nobody gets saved.’ He can live with that, Peter can’t.

Another example of this. Notice how Peter let go of Liz and decided to do the right thing (go after her dad and save her from a terrible ending). He didn’t stay with her and let her live a lie. He sacrificed what he felt for her to give her and other people the right ending. If Peter and Cap were the same, then Cap would’ve stayed in 2023 to help Bucky and the others instead of deciding to go back to Peggy; a woman he met 83 years ago, someone who already lived her life and told him to live his (and even if the writers said her husband was always meant to be Steve there’s no way for Cap to know that happened given he did kiss Sharon Carter). Peter wouldn’t do that. Peggy Carter: Mm. I have lived a life. My only regret is that you didn't get to live yours. Peggy Carter to Steve: Hey. The world has changed and none of us can go back. All we can do is our best, and sometimes the best that we can do is to start over.

They’re not the same. Peter is not a soldier, Cap is. And Peter is still a teenager, he’s going to continue to develop his personality. Let him.

Thought i’d make a reminder to those that bind (including myself) that as the days get shorter and it gets colder out, dont be afraid of switching to sports bras for your day-to-day if you can get away with it. It feels wierd not having the 100% compression and the security that binders give you, but its much better for your body and your health to give your chest much-needed breaks. If you do not have to bind, dont.

i tried to explain what generational trauma is to someone recently and they were like “oh so because something happened historically, you get to have issues about it now?” and no.... that’s not what that is.

when i was in 8th grade, on my class trip to washington dc, we visited the holocaust museum. it’s a wonderful, extensive, informative place, and it’s a beautiful tribute to the victims. as a jewish kid, i knew what the holocaust was. i’d faced antisemetism every day of my life, and will continue to do so. i knew what had happened to my ancestors not too long ago.

but when i stood in that museum. in the recreation of the cattle trains used to move us to the camps. in the recreation of an auschwitz cabin, staring at the map of the camp. when i saw the pile of shoes and jewelry taken from the victims. when i learned how their hair, so very much like mine, was cut for having texture. and how their teeth were pulled for the gold fillings. i had a panic attack.

it was embarrassing, but i was a shitty little 8th grader, and i tried to hide it. but I couldn’t breathe. it was like there was a band around my chest the entire time i was in the museum. i was surrounded by ghosts, by the whispers of emaciated men and trapped women and crying children.

what is generational trauma?

it’s the psychological idea that trauma can be passed down through multiple different ways. trauma can change you significantly, even rewrite neural pathways and physically change how you think. that, paired with the cycle of subconsciously sharing our trauma with our children, as well as mixing with the trauma we learn as we grow, leads to some really rough patches in our relationships with our identites.

this is a really great 4 minute video from the healing foundation about the trauma carried by aboriginal people in Australia. tw for some really heavy topics, but all presented in a relaxed and serious environment.

what do we do?

well, honestly, i don’t know. it’s not like we’re gonna stop sharing our stories with our descendants, nor our histories. we can’t get rid of things related to our identities that give us our own trauma, the bigotry we face unfortunately isn’t going anywhere.

but being aware of your generational trauma is a good step. it’s not just being “sad” or “sensitive” to history. it’s our history still affecting us today. when your indigenous friends are made upset by discussions of colonization, when your black friends feel the weight of a millenia of racism placed on their shoulders, when your gay friends ask you to please stop using that word, when your trans friends see another historical figure deadnamed and misgendered, when your jewish friends can’t talk about the Shoah without their voices breaking.

so why the fuck are you lecturing us?

our murdered ancestors live on in us, in our eyes, our hearts. we are reminded of them constantly, made painfully aware of who we are and how many people hate us.

we were not supposed to survive, and if most of the world had their way, we wouldn’t have. (no, the allies were not heroes of wwii, you turned us away at your borders and continue to let us die from nazis today. if america had had the option, they wouldn’t have given a shit about jewish victims, but that’s a whole other essay i could write)

it’s time to start acknowledging the past, acknowledging your generational trauma and the trauma of those around you. i’m not making up an excuse to “have issues”. at the time i’m writing this, october 2020, i’m 17. i have felt this weight my entire life, and i will continue to shoulder it, as will everyone else.

my point is, maybe we can shoulder that weight together. maybe then it won’t weigh us down as badly. we have solidarity, and we are tough, and resilient, and strong, and beautiful. your generational trauma is something to be aware of, but not ashamed of. we can do this—change the world for the better. we can break the cycle so our descendants don’t feel as we do.
