evidence that nightmare might be the villain: an essay

so i’ve been thinking about what else is going on here and i keep circling back to nightmare.

- nightmare is the primary rumoured villain of doctor strange 2 and we know that wandavision leads into doctor strange 2. - wanda says she doesn’t remember how this started. kind of similar to how you don’t remember the beginning of dreams or nightmares. - it’s always nighttime in the real time when it’s daytime in the reality. isn’t that weird? - if this is a place for wanda to escape her grief, pain and trauma, why is she being constantly reminded of her grief, traumas and the fact that she doesn’t belong? the sitcom plots constantly remind her that she and vision are not normal and have to hide. - if it was nightmare, it would answer the ‘why’ of the mystery villain’s motivation. he wants to feed off wanda’s powers, potentially giving him enough to set off the events of doctor strange 2.
