Hi! I’m Mirea. Yesterday we interviewed to WhiteCell Technologies that we are going to introduce at the final presentation. He is so smart and creative that we can’t believe that he is 20 years old. We was impressed and try hard to make a good suggestion. By the way, the first picture is that I put on UC davis hoodie for the first time. And the other one is my host family’s cute baby Brandon💕

Hi, I’m Takuya from group 3. Today the classes started. There are four classes and these classes are all interesting. After the classes, we mainly did three things: played soccer, rented some bicycles and hanged out at the downtown area in Davis.

Firstly , We played soccer at the playground in front of the IC. That was so hard for us because of the jet lag. Although we were sleepy and tired, we had fun. We ran and chased a ball like we were kids.

Secondly , we rent some bicycles. Not everyone but 10 of us. Davis is too large to walk around so we need bicycles. However, the classroom called cowell is not so far from the IC so we can move without bicycles. It seems that bike rental is a waste of money.

Thirdly , we hanged out at the downtown area in Davis riding the bicycles. There are many kinds of stores and restaurants. We found a sushi restaurant!! Each of us found some stores or restaurants that they want to go.

We could totally have fun today. We will continue to experience many things that we can’t experience in Japan with having fun.

Hi guys! I’m Kazuki. This is the first post from Overseas. Today we arrived and met our host family. How is your host? And their backgrounds? My host mother is not native speaker of English. She is from Peru. In fact, many foreigners, especially people from Mexico live in California. I think this program will be the big chance to know the other one’s cultures because that is not “ordinary ”!! This is special for us and our host families. 3 weeks. I hope we have good time and get anything new through this experience.

Hi, I’m Futaba. We presented about Kakaxi last week. Though we had not enough time to practice, our presentation was good. However, we must improve our presentation more and will practice harder to have confidence. By the way, we ate dinner at Akakara and had a good time!

Two dangerous situations and two solutions about it

I would like to talk about two dangerous situations overseas and two solutions about it.

First of all, pickpockets is dangerous for us. They think we have a lot of money because we are foreigners. Therefore, one of the solutions is that we should not open our bags wildly.

Next, to get lost is also a dangerous situation for us, because we don’t understand the map. Therefore, one of the solutions is to make sure that we can be contacted anytime.

Through these situations, we can spend wonderful time without being dangerous situations.
