“I used to resent my parents for shoving me into clubs all the time. It felt like they were treating me like my teacher. That I was never good enough. Nothing really clicked with me. No one clicked with me. But looking back...maybe they were trying to get me genuine friends. To expand my view beyond my tiny classroom. I...I remember yelling at them so much. I was so upset. Part of me thinks they’ll never forgive me. But. Maybe it’s time I forgive myself to. There are people I hurt and even though I was hurting that was no excuse. All I can do is just. Do better.”
