“There are two MLKs. There once was a man named Martin Luther King Jr. who actually lived and breathed. He was a radical who believed in the redistribution of wealth, argued for slave reparations and that wrote that moderate whites who didn’t speak out on racism were just as bad as the Ku Klux Klan. Seventy-five percent of Americans disapproved of that man when he was killed by a white supremacist in 1968. Then, there is the Martin Luther King Jr. that exists in the collective white memory. Through a complex combination of whitewashing, self-guilt and the intentional rewriting of history that absolves them of their hatred, they have painted a sanitized, impressionist portrait of a civil rights icon whose dreams were fulfilled by America’s unwavering commitment to justice and equality. Out of whole cloth, they managed to fabricate a fantastic hologram of King that is ahistorical, but still “based on a true story.” Their Martin was a lover, not a fighter. They remember a socially conservative, respectable reconciler; not an anti-establishment revolutionary. And, for their sake, his doctrine of nonviolent resistance was eventually reduced to simple “nonviolence.” This is the King they will remember this weekend.”

2020 is coming to a close shortly in a few days and I just want to say, black lives still matter. They've always mattered. Just because 2020 is almost over and maybe your dashes have gone back to normal doesn't mean they don't matter.
Black lives matter shouldn't be pushed to the side because 2020 is ending. The year might be over soon but the fight isn't
Racial terrorists known as “Proud Boys” steal BLM banners from D.C churches and burn the banners. Police presence amounted to protecting the terrorists, facing counter-protestors instead. Police allegedly blamed BLM for the domestic terror and assaults carried out by Trump’s base.
Michigan’s legislature’s office buildings will be closed on Monday because of “credible threats of violence” but details of the threats were not released. Michigan’s capital was stormed earlier this year by armed white nationalists, who also threatened to kidnap the state’s governor.
They killed Brandon. All our petitions, emails, calls, Kim K/Tik Tok (numbers people)/Twitter being massively involved, even getting former justices and law enforcement stating that they wouldn't go through with the execution, everything we did was thrown out the window because Donald J Trump denied it. I can't fucking believe it holy fuck. We were winning and they still executed him 'in favor of the United States'. Killed around 30 minutes ago, (21:27 pm local time), rest in peace Brandon Bernard.
being a kid watching the spongebob movie and having no knowledge of why david hasselhoff would make a cameo in that film, nor who he is in general, and just radically accepting the fact that spongebob and patrick were saved by some shirtless speedboat dude with no context
