Finally completed this Upcycling project of mine! Last pic is what i started with, and first three are finished product! Very happy to say the least, whole thing probably cost a total of $60 including the actual chest of drawers, gotta love gumtree! Took a total of 2 days to complete, but took a while to get the new handles delivered #upcycling #decor #chestofdrawers #gumtree https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx9XJM5nZkF/?igshid=6tq0a9ew8wsn
I really tried to give this show another chance, but this season felt like two solid episodes and then rest were fillers until something worthwhile happened again, but nothing happened.....Even so, I would have forgiven all that, but then they did this. All my hope for this show is now officially lost. I think from now on i’m just going to re-read the books..again!
Lonely Birth for Bree
A female birthing circle. No Grannie Claire or Grandpa Jamie.
No Jamie or Claire. As expected but I still can’t believe it happened. Even when Jamie was back at River Run, he wasn’t given a chance to hold Jem.
There was just absolutely no reason to change that storyline. None. It only serves to justify the bastardized adaptation since Jamie-Bree’s relationship has been ruined from the beginning, turned into a a focal point for drama and conflict, a chance to undermine Jamie’s honor and loyalty, and to make way for the sanctification of Frank, and Leery’s unnecessary moment.
Jamie was never able to be present for the birth of Faith or Brianna. Jem’s birthing is his redemption, his chance to nurture a child of his blood. Jem and Jamie have a pure relationship, a beautiful connection that began with Jamie’s presence during his birth.
By denying viewers the book birthing scene, they have not only denied the sacred moment for Jamie and his daughter, but the whole Fraser family. More importantly, it undermined an integral part of Jamie new identity - grandpa- and I can only wonder how future seasons will unfold.
