Not a land photo, but a photo of a current problem in Iqaluit. There’s a do not drink water advisory due to gasoline or kerosine in one of the water tanks at the local water plant. The current cause of the issue is unknown.

Anyway: An update from something I said LAST SUMMER!!! So last summer I got super sad because the rumour was there was going to be a thunder and lightning storm!!!! And then it never happened 😭. BUT!!! This summer there was LIGHTNING!!! I didn’t get to see any of it- different part of town 😔 but I got to see photos on facebook. I didn’t hear any thunder either.

It’s exciting because the Arctic is technically a kind of desert- wild right? Half the year we’re covered in snow. And the area I live in doesn’t frequently have thunder and lightning storms so that just adds to it.

Saw this cute cat by my friend’s house today! What a little baby.

- I found out that it does have a home, it lives nearby. Neither of us really like that it’s an outdoor cat, there’s just too many dangers this little fellow could get into (getting hit by cars, crawling into weird spots in cars like on the wheels and not being found before driving, or how tulugak are definitely bigger than this bugger) and dangers this cat could do upon native wildlife (lemmings and small summer birds)
