A bit ago I was in cooking class and this one girl was talking about her ex boyfriend, I can't remember what she said specifically but she said something along the lines of "He was such a narcissist"
I joined the conversation and said "Do you mean he had narcissistic personality disorder or are you using narcissist in place of a personality trait?"
Everyone in that group looked so shocked and confused. One guy said "I didn't know narcissism was a personality disorder"
I explained that it was and it shut them all up instantly.

sometimes you need to give up committing to the bit when someone genuinely can’t tell if it’s a bit or not and is getting distressed about it :/ sorry

npd culture is your sense of superiority coming from the fact that you can and will admit to fucking up and will try to make up for your fuck ups, unlike everyone else who would rather play victim to validate their hurt and try to get out of being seen as a potentially bad person
anddddd then seeing other pwnpd talking about why they feel superior and feeling like a fucking idiot for getting a sense of superiority over something that should be basic etiquette (which it usually isn't anymore but wtv)

Anyways, calling shoplifting “urban foraging” is very funny, a useful euphemism, should be done more often.
