In 2023, I took about 7,500 photos
with my Fuji camera, keeping 20%
of them. Intimate family scenes
excluded, there were some 30+
"decisive moments" (?; cf. Henri
Cartier-Bresson) where I hit the
shutter release and the outcome
has continued to resonate with me
particularly well until the end of
the year. As usual, I added these
annual favourites to my VSCO grid,
which has by now evolved into
something of a more intentional
"portfolio" (compared to the pre-
sent sketchbook-like blog) of a
good decade of photographing life
by yours truly:
