see it's like this: i like reading stories about hockey sometimes. i know what the words mean and the rules of the game, but i don't play hockey and i never want to. i don't even know how to skate. hockey is something for other people to play and for me read about in books, far away from the ice.
but then it's like this: i like reading stories about hockey, so i want to write a story about hockey. but i don't play hockey, so what if i get it wrong? because of course i'll get it wrong. how would i ever even know if my story about hockey is a good story about hockey when i don't even know how to skate? how can i share a story about hockey when i've never so much as picked up a stick in my life, and anyone who might read it could be a hockey player?
#this metaphor made me smile op#i don't think search engines can help with a final answer to 'is chest hair attractive'*#so perhaps it's better to consider: would the character i'm writing find chest hair attractive?#is it a physical trait commonly associated with other physical traits my character finds attractive#(by necessity because i ship them with a person who has chest hair)#(or is the chest hair a source of tension between them? i love you but i wish you'd wax?? what's their dynamic here?)#*the answer is yes. chest hair is attractive.

#yes because even though i find them exhausting and they get in the way of catching up with my actual friends (their parents) i'm not a dick#but it's a thing i can do in very small doses. in a fun aunt who panics and plays along in the face of hyperactivity way#i would always rather see my friends without the kids in tow. but when the kids are there they get to be part of things#and i give them all the attention they want because they're people too *admitted grudgingly through gritted teeth*

Getting really sick of all the "There's No Place Like Chrome" ads on youtube. There's Firefox. Firefox saves your passwords. Firefox autofills things if you want. Firefox also does things that Chrome doesn't like allow adblockers, and it does not mine your data and sell your information for advertising purposes. Google is really trying to push people to use Chrome so they can take as much data from users as possible in order to make as much money as possible and it's borderline sinister.
Anyway, download Firefox.
