And as to answer your question, I think it depends on what your and your loved one's love language is. My boyfriend's love language is physical touch and bullying so that's why he enjoys tickling me and watching me suffer that much. I also enjoy that and find it adorable. That's why this arrangement works for us.

However I don't think there are any easy way outs in any type of relationships. If you gotta argue you need to argue sometimes. The tickling or any other type of physical touch or affection just seems to show your partner that you love them and of course that would make a better impact on your relationship compared to not being touchy.
