The Iconic Moment I did for the @dgm20thproject summarizing the end of the Ark Arc! A long favourite of mine so I didn't hesitate at all to take this one :3 Still love the Red alt better but the Blue version worked well with the Ark Arc vibe. The Arc was an absolute pain to draw, even more since half of it got hidden in the end X')

I am one of the 100+ contributors who participated in this grand project! Together, we managed to make a 1st Volume Redraw of D. Gray-man and drew 91 original fanart illustrations to celebrate 20 years of Katsura Hoshino's series!
Join us in celebrating a work that is near and dear to the contributors and to many fans worldwide! The zine will be viewable on the date of the anniversary!
Before that, previews are being shown by many of the artists, so go looking to see what we might have in store! This little silly poster features my previews. I am so excited to show my 2 redraw pages and the 1 cute doodle I did!!

Preview #1 for one of the many pages I did for @dgm20thproject
It’s been almost 4 years since I drew anything more besides a card for a friend at work. I must say… I missed drawing a lot. I think my next hobby goal is to get better at and one day have a booth at anime nyc. That and collecting all the dgm merch I can get my hands on — I’ll make a post once everything arrives but I may have casually dropped 3k on all the goods lmao.
This particular panel went through so many evolutions, and some ideas for this one that didn’t make it ends up in the next page I did 👀. I really like the color I did for this page

Preview #2 for the second page I did for @dgm20thproject
I don’t know why but I ended up drawing the earl so much across all my pages, and none of the adult form of the main characters.
I actually wanted to do pointillism for the first page that I did. And then realized that it might’ve been too boring. For this page, I was in much more of a rush since the deadline was in 2 weeks, so going with pointillism instead. Pure black and white still wasn’t interesting enough imo, so of course I chose to made the moon pop more and tie the panels together. I intended the moon to be golden so it looks like a mesh of different materials, but it looked too outta place :/

Previews of my pages for the @dgm20thproject !
This is the first time I've been able to participate in a zine, and I got to work on some of my favorite pages in the first volume! The whole project has been a blast and it's been so cool watching everyone work together to make this happen.
The finished zine looks beautiful and everyone contributed some amazing work, so you should definitely go and check it out when it becomes viewable on May 31st!!
All three of my pages really pushed me to use my art knowledge and skills to their current limits and I learned a lot during the process of making them. It's also got me motivated to keep improving, especially on the things I don't usually focus on like backgrounds and composition X)
The expected thing I improved on: color/lighting and composition (I was actively working on this throughout the project, so this made sense)
The UNexpected thing I improved on: Glasses?? Was not on my bingo card, but I will take it XD
