ramblings for a dumb pro-hero deku time-travel plot beneath the cut
if ur interested, hmu
I like to imagine him coming from a darker future where things are like in the process of going to shit
Gov't vs Heroes vs Villains, heros are being killed left and right, civilians are afraid to leave their homes, the line between good and evil is even more blurred than ever before and Deku and his classmates are just doing their level best to protect anyone they can
People look up to Deku and he hasnt had a moment of peace or rest in years, its just been non-stop fighting and hes been forcing himself to keep smiling for so long he doesnt know if he can stop
There was a specific...thing? That happened??
Like the straw that broke the camels back, something that shattered that tenuous peace its probably fucking endeavors fault lbr
Maybe its a cliched "deku sent back to stop it from happening" kind of plot
Im gonna steal marvel rules for time travel just to make things less complicated
Toshi's probably dead too
public execution style after getting kidnapped? add to the guilt of Deku not being able to save him. Deku being forced ti watch his dad get murdered
Inko's dead too, she was killed during a riot
Maybe they all died, maybe this was a last-ditch effort to save tge future and the heroes that were left tried to hold off either the govt agents or villains who were trying to stop them and Deku, stuck in this machine meant to send him back, has to watch them fall while they yell at him not to help cause they need him to go back
So yay Deku ends up in the past in the middle of a sever panick attack/stuck in combat mode
I m gonna go out on a limb and assume it was Dave and/or Melissa who developed the machine
