I see how the Harry Potter obsession can quickly become annoying in London and the UK. I mean, I’m literally here for some of those experiences but it’s already become a little much. HP lead me to loving all things British and branching out from that can lead you to an amazing world of things. I recommend it.

Day 1 London

We wandered around some of the main sights. Huge crowds at Buckingham Palace, that was insane, but saw a little bit of the changing of the guard.

Wandered St James Park and talked to my husband a lot about Good Omens scenes there. Would like to find the exact spot where they sit in season 1 or 2 but not sure if that will happen. I feel like I’m in one of those instagram vs reality videos because of all the people.

Had very good lunch at sort of a random place we walked by. Saw Piccadilly Circus, had amazing hot chocolate at Italian Bear Chocolate that I had seen on tik tok.

Wondered Chinatown, went to Cecil ct which was a little overrated imo. If you’re looking for first editions of books that’s where to go but otherwise 🤷🏻‍♀️

Went to see the outside of the theater that the cursed child is in just to see it, then walked back down to Trafalgar Square which we’ll be back to tomorrow when we go to the national gallery.

Ended our day spending wayyyyyyg too much money at Petrus by Gordon Ramsey. Mostly worth it as it was amazing experience going to a Michelin star restaurant of his and having amazing food and experience. It turned out to be way more expensive than we expected going in, and I’m trying really hard to not feel bad about that. Because I would still like to shop and buy things that I like throughout our trip.

I’m also insanely tired and not sure I’m ever gonna catch back up on sleep.

Also David Tennant went to see Nye last night and I would have died to figure out he was there at the same time as me. So I guess it’s better I wasn’t there but could you even imagine??

Oh also, public transportation is my favorite fucking thing I could just take the train forever. It’s the saddest feeling to go back home and get back in my car.

I’m about to spend the entire day on a plane to London and I’ve been so excited and now I’ve woken up so nervous.

Pinch me I can’t believe this is happening. Not even a year ago I got back on tumblr which brought back my creative brain. Tumblr got me to watch season 2 of Good Omens when it came out, and I became so obsessed that the second Michael Sheen announced he’d be on stage I jumped at the opportunity to get tickets. And now we’re here and I cannot believe it.

Yeah it might not be the best time financially to be doing this but that’s not stopping me now. I’ve been so into all things British for pretty much my entire life and I’m finally getting to go. This is unreal. Wish me luck l.
