I fucking love Testament. Nagoriyuki: "OH OK KEEP TALKING" Testament: "Ok :)" *annoys him into being nice*
Also the fact that they're just... consistently reminding us how fucking strong Testament is. Like yeah they're normal now but they are still REALLY dangerous. Noted by both Chipp and Nagoriyuki. Charming. Also new Sin intro with them calls them scary LOL

Thinking about how Testament snidely asks Nagoriyuki if he owns the surrounding area cause they see the isolation Nago is doing as a similar struggle to when they were hiding in the Grove with Dizzy. "Oh, I'm sorry, do you own this area? I knew a dumb bitch who used to act like that. It was me. Get over yourself. Tea?"

Here's the trick, if she attempts to restart the string with the initial jump, it is 6pable universally, she doesn't get much reward off the base string, so just try and get the 50/50s correct, and if you guess wrong it's not a big deal.

THE NEW GUILTY GEAR WIKI IS NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!!
While it's still an endless work in progress (wiki moment lol), we've cleaned up a bunch of pages, added nearly all of the GG World entries from Xrd Sign, Revelator/Rev2, Strive, Overture, and some books; expanded on galleries; CITATIONS; and did a whole bunch of other stuff.
CHECK IT OUT! https://guiltygear.wiki.gg/wiki/Guilty_Gear_Wiki
This wiki is a fork of the Fandom wiki, meaning a lot of the guts are the same. There's an add-on for web browsers to redirect from Fandom wiki pages to the new wiki.gg hosted ones. It can be installed here: https://www.wiki.gg/redirect
If you had an account on the Fandom wiki, it can also be reclaimed on the new wiki. All your edits and stuff will/should transfer over. The migration page is here: https://guiltygear.wiki.gg/wiki/Special:ClaimExternalAccount
Thank you everyone for your patience while we worked on this massive thing the last 5 months 🙏 Our group was small, but I feel like we accomplished an insane amount in that time.

OK so this is the whole AI situation summarized
• AIs have already been scraping data from sites for free for years
• Companies got pissed at this a little too late and are now trying to put it behind a paywall by offering things like data packs in paid partnerships
• Your data wasn't safe before or now
• Capitalism babey

Hi, Tumblr. It’s Tumblr. We’re working on some things that we want to share with you.
AI companies are acquiring content across the internet for a variety of purposes in all sorts of ways. There are currently very few regulations giving individuals control over how their content is used by AI platforms. Proposed regulations around the world, like the European Union’s AI Act, would give individuals more control over whether and how their content is utilized by this emerging technology. We support this right regardless of geographic location, so we’re releasing a toggle to opt out of sharing content from your public blogs with third parties, including AI platforms that use this content for model training. We’re also working with partners to ensure you have as much control as possible regarding what content is used.
Here are the important details:
We already discourage AI crawlers from gathering content from Tumblr and will continue to do so, save for those with which we partner.
We want to represent all of you on Tumblr and ensure that protections are in place for how your content is used. We are committed to making sure our partners respect those decisions.
To opt out of sharing your public blogs’ content with third parties, visit each of your public blogs’ blog settings via the web interface and toggle on the “Prevent third-party sharing” option.
For instructions on how to opt out using the latest version of the app, please visit this Help Center doc.
Please note: If you’ve already chosen to discourage search crawling of your blog in your settings, we’ve automatically enabled the “Prevent third-party sharing” option.
If you have concerns, please read through the Help Center doc linked above and contact us via Support if you still have questions.

God I love the circle, There's a few ways to interpret it, I lean towards the more optimistic one that you've stated here as I feel it fits daisukes storytelling more than the fairly dismal alternatives. There's some other interesting motifs in the circle but that *NO, You can't...* Etc always hits hardest for me.
gushing about funni bed song pt.2 (rat goes full matpat) (also i'll miss matpat)
youtube
ok so this song is great like i've said that before
but something that makes me like it more is what (at least i think) it's about
lets take this last verse where the lyrics
"God Do you see the radiant light? Do you hear the beautiful chant? Do you feel the tender warmth?"
are repeated for the third time, but this time something responds with
"No You can't see the radiant light You can't hear the beautiful chant You can't feel the tender warmth"
there are many ways to interpret this, but how i see it is that this is not god responding but bedman rejecting heaven and choosing to live on through the bed to protect Delilah
this is further supported by the sounds of what seems to be something mechanical (the bed) starting up before the chorus
as well as the lyrics at the end being
"I'm here, I'm here"
and not
"I'm here, I'm here On the border of the circle"
showing that bedman is indeed here outside of the "circle" with Delilah
if you can't tell bedman is my favorite character in the series

Hi anon, respectfully, shut the hell up, you have no clue what constitutes a good design. Of course the bed is clunky, it's a busted piece of kit housing a fragment of Bedmans consciousness.
Calling Delilah a trope is perhaps not inaccurate, but I fail to see how the incorporation of tropes is categorically a bad thing? Romeos design uses tropes, sol uses tropes and ky kiske is a walking bloody trope.
On the gameplay side, It feels like you lost a match against them in tower, and came here to vent and rage against the character as a whole. Yes projectile spam can be boring, but Bedman? uses it as a way to force you to approach at a disadvantage. So it can start it's offense. The fact it never really reached that point just tells me you don't know how to deal with even the most flimsy of zoning tools.
And seriously, you're going to get mad at their pressure? My brother in Christ, you're the one who let them run offense. Bedman is widely considered bottom 5 for a reason, and it's because outside of the corner pressure, they have very few advantages.
If you want to play xrd Bedman, boot up xrd friend. They might have a different kit now, but that is intentional, and the original Bedman was not without flaws, let us not forget that useless bloody sheep. You claim they add nothing to the game, I could make that argument about any character,
Nago? He just fifty fiftys you and it's a coin flip whether he pops or not, ugh adds nothing of value. Ram, just rekkas and corner pressures you, ugh adds nothing of value. Axl, Ugh, just presses buttons from full screen, adds nothing of value.
You are deliberately focusing on the character's flaws to the exclusion of all else.
I fail to see the merit in many of your arguments and it feels like a bad faith statement.
Bedman in strive is actually such a useless, boring addition and the biggest waste of space in the roster. Not only is the actual bed such an UGLY design but Delilah is also so boring and bland. The trope of having a little girl with BIG powers has been overdone so many times. She's so boring to look at and her character is just annoying.
On the combat side Bedman is just so boring to fight, there's nothing fun about having to block spike spam from a full screen and then having to sit in the corner for 10 seconds while you wait for the animations of this slow, clunky, gross character to finish.
I genuinely hate Beman and Delilah and strive and they butchered how cool Bedman was from the prior game. What a pathetic excuse of a character it is.

Reblogging for personal reference
Tumblr media
>First, we’ve discovered that about a quarter of all the internet connection in or out of the house were ad related. In a few hours, that’s about 10,000 out of 40,000 processed.
>We also discovered that every link on Twitter was blocked. This was solved by whitelisting the https://t.co domain.
>Once out browsing the Web, everything is loading pretty much instantly. It turns out most of that Page Loading malarkey we’ve been accustomed to is related to sites running auctions to sell Ad space to show you before the page loads. All gone now.
>We then found that the Samsung TV (which I really like) is very fond of yapping all about itself to Samsung HQ. All stopped now. No sign of any breakages in its function, so I’m happy enough with that.
>The primary source of distress came from the habitual Lemmings player in the house, who found they could no longer watch ads to build up their in-app gold. A workaround is being considered for this.
>The next ambition is to advance the Ad blocking so that it seamlessly removed YouTube Ads. This is the subject of ongoing research, and tinkering continues. All in all, a very successful experiment.
>Certainly this exceeds my equivalent childhood project of disassembling and assembling our rotary dial telephone. A project whose only utility was finding out how to make the phone ring when nobody was calling.
Tumblr media
>Update: All4 on the telly appears not to have any ads any more. Goodbye Arnold Clarke!
Tumblr media
>Lemmings problem now solved.
>Can confirm, after small tests, that RTÉ Player ads are now gone and the player on the phone is now just delivering swift, ad free streams at first click.
>Some queries along the lines of “Are you not stealing the internet?” Firstly, this is my network, so I may set it up as I please (or, you know, my son can do it and I can give him a stupid thumbs up in response). But there is a wider question, based on the ads=internet model.
>I’m afraid I passed the You Wouldn’t Download A Car point back when I first installed ad-blocking plug-ins on a browser. But consider my chatty TV. Individual consumer choice is not the method of addressing pervasive commercial surveillance.
>Should I feel morally obliged not to mute the TV when the ads come on? No, this is a standing tension- a clash of interests. But I think my interest in my family not being under intrusive or covert surveillance at home is superior to the ad company’s wish to profile them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
>Aside: 24 hours of Pi Hole stats suggests that Samsung TVs are very chatty. 14,170 chats a day.
>YouTube blocking seems difficult, as the ads usually come from the same domain as the videos. Haven’t tried it, but all of the content can also be delivered from a no-cookies version of the YouTube domain, which doesn’t have the ads. I have asked my son to poke at that idea.
