this is very true. i broke down in tears when jessica asks him what's wrong in the season finale and he whispers... so weak and so fucking broken down "sookie". it's so beautiful, i don't think i could EVER hate bill though. he's done some pretty awful things? has he rejoined his humanity?

Who Are You, Really?
I had no idea Stephen Moyer would direct the premiere of True Blood season 6. I noticed instantly that the direction was different, real distinction in shots and point of view... so I went back to the credits and saw it was not only a non-standard director, it was Bill Compton himself. It was pleasing and felt almost "indie" in quality and by that I mean unpolished and semi-amateur. I thought the shots of Sookie and Jessica by the beach were gorgeous, while I thought "Billith" had a predictable point of view.
So much of this premiere gave me anxiety. The entire scene before the credits, where Luna presumably dies, felt really terrible. Mostly because it happened so fast. Luna is dragged outside and stops breathing almost immediately, it's a nice allegory for being alive and the quickness of death. Emma wailing "MOM!" in the background added to the intense grief.
So I think this Governor is an actual threat. A scary, entitled, murderous, scheming politician and ACTUAL threat.
I also think that Warlow is an actual threat, more so than the aforementioned. I was truly afraid when he revealed himself in the car and I'm kinda afraid now just talking about him, haha.
Sookie taking back her life and rescinding Eric's invitation was sublime. It's hard and there is so much love all over, all around, for almost everyone- but Sookie needs "normalcy". I found myself, on many occasions, unable to relate to Sookie because she never left. It's hard for her to leave but you finally feel like Sookie has hit rock bottom, watching Bill die, become a monster, then be "reborn" again. I am excited for the possibility that she might be safe and happy.
I believe Jessica wants to be with Bill and if I were her I'd feel the same way. I loved her standing for her maker, even if it's the wrong decision. Jessica is brave, loyal and a terribly dynamic character.
PRETTY LET DOWN about the Pam/Tara storyline. Not because it's not super romantic, because I think it is... It's just, when I think I KNOW Tara... just when I relate... I lose her entirely. They throw her character around in unlikely places for me and it's unfortunate. Meanwhile, even Pam's anger and breakdown is one-dimentional for me. But True Blood can take us ANYWHERE FROM HERE.

1. BILLITH.... what is billith?
2. Warlow- who killed Sookie's parents? and why is he so ugly? (sorry not sorry) and kinda sorta why do you have the ability to be a cloud in Sookie's bathroom? (if that was you)
3. Will Luna survive her latest skin-walking experience? and what kind of national crisis did she put vampires in by exposing their underground regime?
4. Pam and Tara, murderous bad bitches in luv, how are they gonna keep it moving?
5. Poor Andy Belfleur has.. what was it? four new faerie babies? how will this effect his relationship with Holly?
6. Eric and his sister reunited and survived the Authority... where will their relationship go from here? are they just siblings who casually fuck or are they more in-love? and will Nora sink her teeth into Sookie?
7. WHO WILL SOOKIE LET INTO THAT TEMPTRESS FAERIE-BED OF HERS?
8. Alcide is leader-of-the-pack, that man is FOR SURE an alpha. Will his father remain a lone wolf? or will his son's new pack position redeem him?
9. Jessica and Jason? Is this even a thing anymore? Jason has been attempting to control his hatred/misunderstanding/envy of vampires since day 1... will he suppress it? or act on it?
