Expectations of self
I鈥檓 thankful for all the people God put in my life
At the different intervals that he did
Things were never perfect
But聽I know why I鈥檓 here today
I鈥檓 thankful for all the pain
Even for being oblivious
For having no sense of self-awareness
No sense of self-worth
No sense of self at all
Because of it
I found my sense of purpose
It all opened my eyes
Who knows where I was going?
Who knows where I could鈥檝e ended up?
But I know
I didn鈥檛 want to accept that my destiny was a life full of pain
I knew I needed to look in the mirror and tell myself I will not accept anything less than what I expect
