Inklings and Simon Belmont both appear in Smash Bros.
Respawn points are canonically a real technology in the Splatoon universe, and it's impossible for an Inkling to permanently die while they're synchronised with one.
Simon Belmont is canonically Christian.
This information in mind, I want you to imagine Simon Belmont trying to explain the miracle of the Resurrection to an Inkling.

I think once all the hype died down, people forget how much fun Super Smash Bros offers to the canon lives of every Nintendo character
For instance:
Captain Falcon and Kirby are lunch buddies
Captain falcon also works at the Mintendo Noodle House (or he covers for Min Min)
Luigi is sent across the world (and time) on ghost hunting missions.
The kongs (and subsequently everyone else due to how primitive they live) have multiversal level access cable (and hang out with K. Rool at times for no reason)
Kirby enjoys surfing on rainbow road and crashed a Mario Kart race
He is also friends with Luma
Mario, Link and Kirby are fitness buddies!
Little Mac and Doc Louis own an arcade machine
After being KO Punched, Samus hangs around the training ring.
Palutena enjoys watching Pit fight, especially with Link
Falcon enjoys participating in tournaments, even those in the Fire Emblem universe and even kicked Chrom's ass with his bare hands.
Bayonetta joined smash because she simply thought Pit was an angel for her to kill. I guess she stayed cause she thought it was fun lol

With Sora's inclusion I feel like we've reached enough justification for a smash bros animated series. There's so much fun potential and interactions between characters its insane.
