saw a grown woman on tiktok snidely calling gen z the christopher columbus generation bc someone’s fifteen year old son ‘thought he’d discovered weezer’. newsflash every generation finds out about the music of the previous generation at some point it comes free with being fifteen. being annoying about music also comes free with being fifteen. a kid saying yeah i’ve just found this band nirvana have you ever heard of them should be a thing of joy

The concept of not using your top sheet is totally foreign to me. I guess it’s because I grew up in a drafty old house sleeping under down comforters, antique quilts, wool blankets and other pieces of bedding that were a sensory nightmare/difficult to clean. I see people in my generation joke about the uselessness of the top sheet and I’m like. Idk, I think it has a pretty important job to do protecting you from touching the creepy haunted quilt your great grandma sewed.

what companies who sell you anti aging stuff don't want you to know is that if you're chill about aging, your perception of attractiveness changes as you get older. there is no "wall" where you suddenly become ugly and unfuckable because in my experience what actually happens is you get into your thirties and suddenly realize that people in their thirties are hot as fuck and the "flaws" that the beauty industry wants you to panic about are a feature not a bug, and based on the std statistics in nursing homes I don't really expect that trajectory to change.
