the collective agreement that a character is of a specific race is totally a thing for me, yk like most artists just all headcanon that McQueen is your typical blue eyed blond guy. But then I saw a fanart in which Sally is a black woman and it just… doesn’t sit right with me. Like I’m not trying to be mean (or racist) here and I’m absolutely open to character headcanons which are different from my own but… idk it just does not feel right!
Like I was absolutely under the impression that Jackson Storm is a black rookie with an attitude and then I did some digging on his background and… WDYM THE VA IS A WHITE MAN. LIKE JACKSON STORM IS BLACK TO ME AND THAT’S THAT. END OF DISCUSSION!!!

extremely time consuming. Remember someone actually took time out of their life to create that, time they could’ve used to, idk, sleep, for example
entertainment you’re consuming for free. I can’t stress this enough: you’re enjoying someone else’s craft for free. You paid exactly zero money to look at/read/watch it.
S H A R E D with you, not made for you. This is the most important point: someone created that, put it online and you found it. No one forced you to consume that fanwork, you C H O S E to do it.
Whenever you feel like leaving a mean comment, anonymous hate or make a ~clever post about how ‘lol look at all of these overused tropes every fic writer crams into their fics’ remember you’re being a dick to someone who shared their work with you. You’re not being funny, you’re not being edgy, you’re not being brave for calling something out - you’re being a dick.

so somebody on yt pointed out how different the spin with the girls is in the loveless play.
so in the cloti scene, tifa is reaching out to him but cloud won't even wait for her to grab his hand first. he grabs eagerly her waist as she spins. this wasn't necessarily at all and it doesn't happen with aerith and yuffie.
i love how the devs put these minor details in the game, showing cloud's mannerism towards the characters.

Oh but seriously if we are talking real racers here… (F1 or NASCAR idc) may I present to yall…
NICO ROSBERG!!!
here’s some info on him: starting his F1 career at 2006 as a debut racer, setting the fastest lap ever on track and remained one of the few F1 drivers to do so, even in his first year racing for Williams. He's the only person ever to give Lewis fucking Hamilton a run for his money and gave him REAL competition. Also world champ. Son of an F1 racer who is also another world champ.
Cars 1 (2006) also marks McQueen's first year in NASCAR racing as a rookie ("rookie sensation"). Being one of the greatest racers ever, on-par with the legendary Strip Weathers winning the most Piston Cups at 7 (or he has 8 cups if you take the tiebreaker race back in Cars 1 into account, in his rookie year HELLO). Definitely a world champ (Cars 2 in the World Grand Prix race). He also has the (deceased) Fabulous Hudson Hornet as his mentor, one of the greatest dirt track racers of all time, if not to say the greatest.
Now you tell me these two characters are not alike, if also, not to say, Nico's actually McQueen but F1 and raced for Mercedes (if it were Ferarri he would have the red-yellow colour scheme and that'd make him the exact embodiment of McQueen), or vice versa McQueen's actually Nico but being a NASCAR racer.

It was just a small lie.
To your parents, at first. You said that yes, of course mom, I have a boyfriend - but oh, he is actually a colonel in the military, something something mercenaries, contracts, I barely see him and forced to wipe my tears of missing him with dollar bills he sends in a tight envelope every two weeks( Konig wasn't your friend per say, just a guy you knew through a couple of other friends - he is always quiet, always out of the loop, one time you helped him fix his phone because he had too many hentai viruses and then you recommended him to just buy an iPhone - and he did. For both of you. Something about repaying for your help.
You had a couple of pictures together, with his hand slump awkwardly around your shoulder. He is kinda weird about you, come to think of it - ever since you started to talk to him from this time, he became...awkward. Kinda weird about your...well, everything - and you don't want to be judgy, of course not, but it's still just a bit awkward. Nonetheless, you started telling your other friends that you're...not seeing each other exactly, but that there is something. Mainly because you were tired from questions...and also because Konig is the only guy from your friend group that follows you like a puppy.
You only found out that he knew about it when you were exiting a friend's gathering. His hand caught yours, a firm hold on your wrist. Quiet statement that he will drive your home - this is what boyfriends are supposed to do, right? You tried to tell him that he is not your boyfriend, that there is no way he believed in whatever lies you were telling to everyone - but your friends smile at how considerate he is, spend the whole night not drinking just so he could drive his drunk girl home.
Konig smiles under that dumb half-mask of his when you try to protest without alerting your friends. when he drags you to his car and instructs you to take off his mask and kiss him properly - it's the least you could do after leading him on for so long and then simply using him as a shield, right? He isn't mad, not really...he'd play the role of your boyfriend just fine if you were okay with him getting it too seriously...
