When i'm in a new fandom and I'm curious about the ships I usually take a look at few posts on some ships and if I think "huh so the peeps are like this" and I don't feel comfortable with some of the fans I usually mute the tags and/or even block few people right off the bat (or anything related to them) w/o seeing the fanworks.

Works wonderfully since I can avoid specific kind of fans and live my life peacefully...most of the times. If I do like the ship w/o even interacting with the fandom then....well I still make fanworks w/o interacting with others lmao

me blocking/muting people doesn't mean I hate them personally, most of the times, I just think I can't get along with them.
