Hi, Susan here! ♥ This photoblog is a beautiful gallery of creatures i'm raising (and have raised), on my journey as a lepidopterist. Each moth & butterfly I raise lives out its natural lifespan and is fed/hand-fed, cared for and given a comfortable environment to fly around in. I enjoy documenting their lives to educate and encourage people to appreciate and love them as much as i do. I create artwork with preserved specimens whilst supporting sustainable sourcing, and sell natural history-inspired homeware and trinkets in my online shop Stoned Affection. I have previous experience volunteering in the Sensational Butterflies Exhibition in the Natural History Museum, London. I've also done educational talks in schools and museums, and supplied live & pinned butterflies for professional photography/video shoots.
