so to begin!!! thank you ..
i would like to start by telling what got me into cooking.. i was a middle schooler and wanted to be independent for a while . during this time i found myself cooking and spending more time in the kitchen watching my mom cook for the family so effortlessly . and found myself to enjoy making food!

rajma chawal has to be one of my favorite dish to cook. i really enjoy cooking this dish as it pays of the patients required to make it .. it takes a while but its all worth it!
a simple but hearty way to someone's heart and childhood :))
ill be sharing the recipe which i really dear to me as i have worked my way to perfect it !!!
you will require
2 large onions
1 large tomato
cinnamon
black cardamom
soaked rajma ( red beans 100gms)
red chilly powder
garam masala
salt
turmeric
to start , we will puree the onions and tomato separately. too a cooker, add 5-10 mlns of oil and sauté the onions to golden brown . once brown add the tomato puree along with the spices and salt and cook till the mixture releases oils.
to this mixture, add the overnight soaked red beans and add water till u cover beans , this step is very important as we will pressure cook ahead . pressure cook for 5-7 whistles and let the pressure release naturally .
once the pressure has released , check if the rajma is cooked by smashing it by the back of the spoon .
our rajma is ready!!!!
now for the rice,
cook rice normally as u would and temper the rice with jeera to give it more flavor! ( or don't it'll be delicious either way )
once yore done cooking , serve up and enjoy this simple but hearty rajma chawal !!
you can serve it with mirchi ka aachar , cut up onions and a lemon wedge :)))
